[Bug 2039340] Re: On upgrade from 23.04 to 23.10, cannot login using Gnome or Ubuntu WM entries
I am unable to feasibly comply with running anything from apport. Apport uses `#!/usr/bin/python3` instead of `#!/usr/bin/env python3` across its files, which runs into issues with my Guix installation's instance of Glibc even when removing all the environmental variables that allow Guix to hook into the terminal. Apport must be doing something clever but not quite clever enough to isolate itself from potentially broken system components? In it's place, I'll attach the crash file. ** Attachment added: "_usr_bin_gnome-shell.120.crash" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/+bug/2039340/+attachment/5711471/+files/_usr_bin_gnome-shell.120.crash -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2039340 Title: On upgrade from 23.04 to 23.10, cannot login using Gnome or Ubuntu WM entries To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/+bug/2039340/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 2039801] [NEW] Ubuntu 23.10, locate pointer not working
You have been subscribed to a public bug: I have just upgraded to Ubuntu 23.10 (Mantic Minotaur), going through the regular process of settling in with the new features and so forth, I realised that the 'locate pointer' is not working as expected. When the focus is on a screen element (like this text field that I am entering information into) I can press the left ctrl button and the border will flash around the element/text field/button etcetera. (I have made a screen cast, if I can I will upload it) Previously when pressing the left ctrl button the mouse pointer would be shown with a circular pulsing image (like a something dropping into calm water). I have read several forums and have looked specifically how to set the locate pointer option, I have set it in accessibility->pointing & clicking->Locate Pointer, also via cli with "gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface locate-pointer true" and using the gnome tweaks gui. None of these things work. Ubuntu 23.10,gnome 45, gdm3, acer aspire V 17 nitro black edition Description:Ubuntu 23.10 Release:23.10 Not seemingly specific to any 'package' so package version is not relevant. Expect the mouse pointer to be highlighted instead only the cursor position is located. ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment mantic -- Ubuntu 23.10, locate pointer not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2039801 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
