[Bug 2059847] Re: Input lag or freezes on Nvidia desktops with X11 after logging "MetaSyncRing: Sync object is not ready -- were events handled properly?"

2024-05-04 Thread why_hello_there
Coincident with this bug, I'm experiencing other bugs, so I think they
may be related,

Is there a timeline on this merging to Jammy?

The other bugs:

* emacs is super laggy (500ms - 1000ms delays on typing)

* gnome-terminal of course (500ms - indefinite delays on typing)

* screen flickers and freezes on startup, and resolves after ~10s

* 50% of the time, screen never turns back on after suspend, requiring
hard reboot (Ctrl+REISUB)

* I get a random "System problem detected" after every startup

I'd rather catch this fix from the main PPA once it's been tested
enough, any timeline on it merging to Jammy?

[Bug 2064192] Re: Unable to resize windows

2024-05-04 Thread David
I have the same problem, can't resize any windows tested with Krita and
VSCodium. I don't know if this is related, but sometimes the mouse
clicks through the windows to the window below the current one. (only
for those that don't resize) basically unusable

[Bug 2062394] Re: Update xdg-desktop-portal to 1.18.4

2024-05-04 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package xdg-desktop-portal - 1.18.4-1ubuntu3

---
xdg-desktop-portal (1.18.4-1ubuntu3) oracular; urgency=medium

  * Upload to oracular

xdg-desktop-portal (1.18.4-1ubuntu2) noble; urgency=medium

  * Merge with Debian (LP: #2062394). Remaining change:
- Import https://github.com/flatpak/xdg-desktop-portal/pull/705 as a
  distro-patch to add a portal for managing WebExtensions native messaging
  servers

xdg-desktop-portal (1.18.4-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream stable release
- Don't allow sandboxed apps to specify commands starting with '-'
  when generating .desktop files, mitigating CVE-2024-32462 in Flatpak
- Do not store device access permission as "denied by user" if there
  was an error
- Fix a crash when config files don't specify a default backend

** Changed in: xdg-desktop-portal (Ubuntu)
