[Bug 824884] [NEW] rythym box does not copy files to library. stops after 3rd or 4th song.
Public bug reported: when i try to copy audio cds to the lbrary, the palyer stops after the 3rd or 4th song and even tyhough it says its copying, it doiesnt. [Bug 696120] [NEW] when i try to play any of my purchased dvd's. i recieve the message could not read from source.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem i have not been able to play any dvd's since usaing ubuntu linux 10.10, or any of the previous versions of ubuntu. when i palce a dvd iin the player and start any of the installed dvd /movie players i get the same message and results. the title will play and the fbi warniing will display. but when they are done the movie closes and i get the warning unable to read from source. Ive tried several times to correct this problem by openig a termonal and trying to download and install certain fixes that people have sent me to correct the problems, but as i dont realy understand the functions of linux and entering files opr writing drivers and programs i have had no sucess. the function/operation of linux systems are beyond my abilities to understand the workings. If there is a simple fix to this problem, please let me know as im about ready to switch all 5 of my machines back to windows again. and I like ubuntu very much. thanks for your help. no problem. when i finish sending you this reply, i am starting to convert all my pc's back to windows xp and vista. I found just now that i am unable to play commercialy recorded cds also. whereas I cant fix the problem in linux, I need to go back to the windows system where the problem doesn't exist. linux is a wonderful program, but it is not simple enough for the everyday common user without any more knowledge than to simply put in a dvd or cd and push play. most pc users dont know about writing files and openig things in terminals.
