[Bug 625796] Re: cannot download from the terminal on youtube
Hello, I assume you are using a tool like wget and try to download a file from the web. If this does not work, this is rather not a bug in gnome- terminal, but I might have a hint on solving your problem: Your problem might be one of these: 1.) You are calling the url without quotes, which means http... instead of http As you url contains a quotation mark, your shell misinterprets this. So try using http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6vcq_VxMFgfeature=related;. 2.) You are not using a tool for downloading files from youtube. Have a look at the package youtube-dl. Please let us know if this helps. ** Changed in: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- cannot download from the terminal on youtube https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/625796 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
