[Bug 506611] Re: empathy irc room option is greyed out
Funny, it's 2015 and I'm getting this old bug in Empathy 3.12.9. I successfully connected to the IRC server but the channel join option is grayed out. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/506611 Title: empathy irc room option is greyed out To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/empathy/+bug/506611/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 106822] Re: Nautilus Changes file type wrongly
I can confirm the bug (Gutsy). I have a c++ header file and nautilus displays the right file type but if I click on the file nautilus says it is a HTML document. Opening the file with gedit results in a false highlighting mode because it assumes it is a HTML document. I can't open the file with a double-click because nautilus says it is a html document with a .hpp file extension and that it may be a security problem. ** Attachment added: header.hpp http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12723889/header.hpp -- Nautilus Changes file type wrongly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/106822 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 197143] Re: Improve System Log Viewer
I agree with you but as the messages are application-dependent this is not an easy task. I think a generic solution isn't possible (?) but one could search for error messages like not found or warning. -- Improve System Log Viewer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197143 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-utils in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 146871] Re: gconf-editor lost configuration
I have the same problem. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem The only thing I've done the last time was the installation of scratchbox: http://www.scratchbox.org/ But I don't think that this is relevant for this bug. the behavior you expected I expected a normal login screen. the behavior you actually encountered The first thing I saw were the error messages as one can see in the attachment. Afterwards I clicked on the 'Computer' symbol, changed to /usr/bin/, opened the xterm, started gconf-editor and saw that the whole configuration was deleted. I compiled and started the wlan driver RT73_Linux_STA_Drv1.0.4.0 with the net interface rausb0 - because the standard driver of Ubuntu has never worked with my wlan device. Then I started Firefox to post a new bug report and saw that this bug already exists in this database. $ LANGUAGE=C gconftool-2 --spawn Failed to spawn the config server (gconfd): Failed to contact configuration server; some possible causes are that you need to enable TCP/IP networking for ORBit, or you have stale NFS locks due to a system crash.
