[Bug 464590] Re: Gnome-power-manager won't recognize I am on a laptop

2010-03-12 Thread Esqui
Not sure if it's related, but does the same for me on Dell Mini 10v
running Lucid Alpha 2 (UNR).

However, it does not switch to showing battery if I unplug/replug power.

[Bug 529532] Re: laptop doesn't dim when on battery power

2010-03-10 Thread Esqui
Does the battery icon show in the notification area, or does it show as
plugged in even when it's running on battery only?

[Bug 39413] Re: ubuntu doesn't notice when running on battery

2010-02-20 Thread Esqui
This also affects me using Dell Mini10v running Lucid alpha 2.

After some recent updates, it now only shows as AC power (and runs on
full power profile). Running cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state in
terminal made it work and recognise it was on battery. Killing and
restarting the process did not work either.

This will result in reduced battery life.
