[Bug 23281] Re: Selecting mozilla-thunderbird as the preferred mail app still launches evolution

2007-08-26 Thread François Montel
Woopie, your patch works, but only if TBird is not running. Is it
possible to fix it so that it will create a new compose window even if
TBird is running? Thanks!

[Bug 34247] Re: Trash always empty.

2007-08-09 Thread François Montel
I've experienced the same since upgrading to Feisty (I did not have this
problem on Edgy).

Files in ~/.Trash do now show up when the Trash applet is launched.

However, files in .Trash under / or any other partition DO show up in
the Trash applet. The only ones that don't show up are those in
~/.Trash.

My home folder is in a separate partition encrypted with encfs, meaning
it's a FUSE filesystem.

So my guess is that the Trash applet isn't picking up any files that
reside on FUSE filesystems.

PS. It seems that my problem is already fixed in Gutsy (see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-vfs/+bug/81336). Sorry for the
duplicate post. I'm not sure if that fixes the problems other report
here or not.

[Bug 81336] Trash and FUSE/encfs problem

2007-01-25 Thread François Montel
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: trashapplet

The Trash applet (or trash icon on the desktop) doesn't include items
that are in ~/.Trash if ~ is a FUSE filesystem. For example, my home
folder is an encfs encrypted partition, and trash:// only shows items in
.Trash folder on other partitions on my system. Items in ~/.Trash are
not shown. (Navigating to ~/.Trash in nautilus of course works).

(Using Edgy.)

No, Nautilus trash list (I assume you mean selecting Go ... Trash ..
from the Nautilus menu) also only shows trash items in partitions other
than the encrypted partition. Trash items is ~/.Trash do not appear.

[Bug 81348] nautilus very slow if connection to network shares is lost

2007-01-24 Thread François Montel
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

(Using Edgy)

I have several CIFS network shares (both Windows and Linux) mounted on
my system. Some are bookmarked in Nautilus. If the connection to those
shares is lost (ie, network problems, wireless signal lost), it takes
Nautilus a VERY LONG time to recognize that and unmount them. For about
5 minutes or so, any Nautilus operations on my local filesystem are very
slow, and Nautilus will go inactive for up to a minute or two at a time.
I am not attempting to access the remote shares (which are no longer
available)--this occurs with any file operations on my local filesystem.

Perhaps this is related to bug #32873 as it seems similar in nature.
