[Bug 890779] [NEW] btrfs mounts in raid1 are shown twice

2011-11-15 Thread Jack Wasey
Public bug reported:

BTRFS raid1 devices consist of two /dev/sdx nodes, and either can be
used to mount the filesystem. One is used to mount each raid1 btrfs
filesystem in /etc/fstab. However, nautilus, or possibly some underlying
abstraction, decides that each /dev/sdx node must be a different file
system, so nautilus shows me double the number of devices. One is marked
unmounted and one is already mounted. Clicking on the unmounted one
mounts a duplicate.

Expected: each BTRFS raid1 file system should only be shown once in
nautilus.

[Bug 403922] [NEW] screensaver does not blank screen if no activity since (auto) login

2009-07-24 Thread Jack Wasey
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver

I am using karmic up to date today (24th July).
I have auto-login configured, and haven't changed the default screensaver
settings.
If I boot the computer and leave it, the auto-login works, and the screensaver
activates. However, the screensaver (set to blank screen) does not blank the
screen, and I see the normal desktop. (I also see the dialogue to get password
to mount other drives - as described in alpha 3 release notes). Moving the
mouse causes the screen to fade to black, then immediately return to normal use.

Expected action: screensaver activates regardless of whether waiting for
a dialogue during boot, or if no activity since boot.

[Bug 350329] [NEW] gnome-session-properties dialog is far too small

2009-03-28 Thread Jack Wasey
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-session

Admittedly it can be resized, but why does the default opening size need
to be so small, forcing almost every user on a monitor bigger than
640x480 to have to open it up.

Proposed solution:
use maximum height of monitor, or 75% of it, but limit the width, since this is
already sufficient.

was committed, but the initial size issue remains)

[Bug 116503] Re: Inconsistency between Copy and Move while Drag and Droping

2009-03-25 Thread Jack Wasey
This is very much still a bug in Jaunty, post alpha 6

Drag on it's own copies (which I think is incorrect - it should MOVE by
default - who wants to duplicate menu items?)

Drag-ctrl removes the +, indicating it is going to copy, but this is not
allowed.

(The focus moves to the destination folder after a copy. I think it
should stay in the source folder. this is another wishlist item I
guess.)

I don't know about the Gnome usability requirements, but I strongly
expect that we don't match up.
