[Bug 1899252] Re: quick alt-tab doenst work

2020-10-12 Thread Juan Carlos
Hello, Ive realized something, this behavior only occurs when I'm using
a second monitor, if I alt tab with only 1 monitor then alt tab works as
intended, but when using a second monitor then all the windows of the
app that are in the second monitor are displayed with Alt+tab. This
wasn't the case with Ubuntu 18.04.

Thanks.

2020-10-12 Thread Juan Carlos
Hello, I dont know why that extension shows as installed, it was already
erased when i posted the bug.

So removing it changed nothing.

gsettings get org.gnome.shell enabled-extensions:

['touchpad-indicator@orangeshirt', 'user-theme@gnome-shell-
extensions.gcampax.github.com', 'ubuntu-d...@ubuntu.com', 'ubuntu-
appindicat...@ubuntu.com']

Thanks

[Bug 891982] Re: Totem gives location not found error from any terminal window other than the one used to open the application

2013-01-28 Thread Juan Carlos Inostroza
Hi,

the problem is still happening in this version:

totem:
  Installed: 3.0.1-0ubuntu21.1
  Candidate: 3.0.1-0ubuntu21.1
  Version table:
 *** 3.0.1-0ubuntu21.1 0
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/main i386
Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
 3.0.1-0ubuntu21 0
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages

Error message can be replicated as follows:

1.- Open any media file using totem from terminal window (on directory A)
2.- Open another terminal window
3.- Switch to another directory (directory B) and launch totem with any file
from directory B/
4.- Error message appears

The message on the totem instance is this:

** Message: Error: Resource not found.
gstfilesrc.c(1042): gst_file_src_start ():
/GstPlayBin2:play/GstURIDecodeBin:uridecodebin3/GstFileSrc:source:
No such file media file

In my case, launched totem from :~/Music/1/Quantum Conundrum
Soundtrack. Then on another terminal launched totem from
~/Music/1/Riverside - 2013. Error is

gstfilesrc.c(1042): gst_file_src_start ():
/GstPlayBin2:play/GstURIDecodeBin:uridecodebin1/GstFileSrc:source:
No such file /home/jci/Music/1/Quantum Conundrum Soundtrack/01 - Riverside -
New Generation Slave.mp3

Seems that totem is sticking to the first directory instead.

Kind regards,
--j

[Bug 886725] Re: evolution crashes at end of long mail with many images

2012-01-15 Thread Juan Carlos Inostroza
Hi,

it happens to me as well when scrolling fast into a long email (233k or
so).

Unable to get the backtrace, but got almost same message when debugging:

[Thread 0xb0384b70 (LWP 3107) exited]
The program 'evolution' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
  (Details: serial 136713 error_code 8 request_code 141 minor_code 1)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

[Bug 904775] [NEW] Scroll on the message pane does scroll on the message list pane

2011-12-15 Thread Juan Carlos Inostroza
Public bug reported:

This is really an annoyance instead of a real bug. But I reported it
anyways :-)

On Natty,
When selecting a message that does not fit on the message view and scrolling
down the message using the mouse scroll, the message list pane begins to scroll
down. Does not scroll up tho.

$ apt-cache policy evolution
evolution:
  Installed: 2.32.2-0ubuntu7
  Candidate: 2.32.2-0ubuntu7
  Version table:
 *** 2.32.2-0ubuntu7 0
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Thought that this was a local weird behaviour, but opening Evolution
thru an X remote session, happens the same.

How to reproduce:
1.- Scroll at the top of the message list
2.- Select a message in the middle that does not fit on the message view
3.- Scroll the message view (clicking on it does not matter)
4.- Message list does follow scrolling down as well.

Let me see if I can send a quick capture of the screen.

Kind regards,
Juan Carlos

[Bug 450017] [NEW] Recording switch is disabled when selecting a different sound card

2009-10-12 Thread Juan Carlos Inostroza
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-media

When selecting a different soundcard on gnome-volume-control, some
switches get disabled (like Toggle audio recording from capture
switch).

Example:
Two soundcards : Intel HDA / SB 128 PCI

1.- Open GNOME Volume Control
2.- Two cards are present in the selector
3.- On the first card, go to Recording switch. Toggle audio recording from
capture is disabled. Click to enable.
4.- Switch to second soundcard
5.- Switch to first soundcard again
6.- Capture switch is disabled again

This issue happens also when closing gnome-volume-control.

[Bug 323137] [NEW] Copying to ipod files with large names

2009-01-30 Thread Juan Carlos Inostroza
Public bug reported:

On Rhythmbox 0.11.6 (Intrepid) :

When copying songs that have large names on the Album/Song title,
Rhythmbox asks to overwrite files if they match their first chars.

I.E.

Album : Monkey Island 2: Le Chuck's Revenge Disk 1
Titles : Talking with Jumbeaux LaFeet / Talking to Jojo Junior (2 different
songs)

Both files are not the same but when copying it to ipod, there's a
dialog message asking to overwrite a file.

Just stumbled upon this problem today. Will have a testcase later.

[Bug 242798] Re: Ekiga - registration failed: ñ in pwd or 3COM router configuration? Now sound c ódecs problem

2008-07-03 Thread Juan Carlos Tobar Cereijo
** Summary changed:

- Ekiga - Registration failed: Forbidden with an 'ñ' in the pwd
+ Ekiga - registration failed: ñ in pwd or 3COM router configuration? Now
sound códecs problem

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: ekiga

I had an 'ñ' in my password and i could login in www.ekiga.net but i
couldn't login with the ekiga app. My ekiga configuration had the
correct password (i saw it in gconf-editor -
  apps/ekiga/protocols/accounts_list) . I change the 'ñ' for an 'n'
(saving the new password in ekiga.net previously) and all worked
  perfectly.

I thought it was a problem with SIP protocol, STUN ports to open in my
- router firewall, etc
+ router firewall, etc, but the next day I had the same registration
+ problem without the ñ in the pwd.
+
+ The configuration detected my router as a restricted NAT, so I enabled the
stun support (stun.ekiga.net) but it didn't work. I tried to open the STUN
ports:
+
+ * Trigger ports: 3478-3479
+ * Public ports: 5000-5100
+ * Protocol: UDP
+
+ in the special applications option of my router firewall. But it
+ didn't work. Then I opened these ports in the virtual servers option
+ of my router firewall. Then, the configuration detected my router as a
+ cone NAT and the registration was successfully (in ekiga.net and
+ diamondcard.us).
+
+ I could call to the echo test [EMAIL PROTECTED] but I don't hear anything
+ except the beep when I hung up (test settings were ok). However, I can
+ hear perfectly when I call the diamond Echo test number
+ sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED] or checking my Account balance dialing
+ sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
+
+ I think the problem is in the audio códec (GSM with diamondcard.us /
+ PCMU in ekiga.net), both checked in the configuration.
+
+ I'ĺl write more if i find the solution

[Bug 33967] Re: A way to disable low disk space warnings

2007-10-19 Thread Juan Carlos Fernández
I have a suggestion in how solving this bug. I have seen gnome-volume-
manager source code and I found inside manager.c the call to show the
Low Disk Space message. The condition in order to show this message
does not have an external variable. Adding one new user parameter to
gnome-volume-manager can solve this problem. This solution will
deactivate the message in any way. There are many solutions like
configuring the disks that will show the message.
