[Bug 44518] Re: Dapper - Gnome volume controler don't control gstreamer

2006-08-06 Thread Julien Hémono
I don't think so but my half-solution plus that wish (bug #22876) equal
this problem is fixed the ugly way : I think the problem is that the
'master' control don't control the whole sound system.

[Bug 44518] Re: Dapper - Gnome volume controler don't control gstreamer

2006-08-05 Thread Julien Hémono
I think I've half-solved this bug : I set the gnome sound controller to
control the 'headphones' and it works (even rhytmbox is controlled). So
I think keys control 'master' wich don't control sound properly.

[Bug 44518] Dapper - Gnome volume controler don't control gstreamer

2006-05-14 Thread Julien Hémono
Public bug reported:

Hello,
I'm on Ubuntu Dapper and I use rhythmbow to play music.
On Breezy, I used to use keys to control volume by gnome volume controler. But,
on Dapper, using keys (so the gnome volume controler) control gnome sounds like
bip but not gstreamer. I've hear on Dapper specification about using alsa for
gstreamer and gnome sounds, so I may have this problem because alsa for gnome
sound hasn't been implemented yet.
What do you think of that ?
Thank you.

[Bug 44518] Re: Dapper - Gnome volume controler don't control gstreamer

2006-05-14 Thread Julien Hémono
So, The keys controls the gnome volume controler, so that's this which matters.
Yes, that's it : the gnome volume controler don't change volume of rhythmbox
and totem-gstreamer. Both have its own volume state, what's expected, but gnome
volume controler don't change the low-level volume for these : It only does for
gnome bip, welcome sound etc.
I'm on a laptop with a sound card and a RTC modem, The sound card is SiS SI7012
and is alsa controled, and the modem is RealTech ALC250 and is oss-controled
but I think this one doesn't matter.
