[Bug 422511] Re: problem with new scrollbar in Human theme - GtkRange::trough-border set to 2

2009-10-29 Thread Koterpillar
Hi, I've installed human-theme from Nikola Kovac's PPA, and now Skype and
Eclipse are both un-(=ugly-)themed. When running, e.g. Skype in command line, I
get:
/usr/share/themes/Human/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:105: error: unexpected identifier
`trough_border', expected character `}'
Same output seen from Eclipse.

2009-10-29 Thread Koterpillar
You have installed something from a PPA. It is not the version which was
included in the release and therefor inappropriate for this bug. In any
case, your problem is a separate bug and not part of this
I know, but I am testing the proposed solution for this bug, so I feel
it appropriate to point out a problem with it.

It's because skype is 32 bit, and the 32 bit murrine engine is in
ia32libs and hasn't been updated to support trough-border. I'll upload
an ia32libs package to my PPA
My bad, I forgot to mention that my Eclipse is 32-bit too.

[Bug 462524] [NEW] After using right arrow to go to item menu, left arrow should go back

2009-10-28 Thread Koterpillar
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: deskbar-applet

When using deskbar-applet, I can choose an entry (e.g. a file entry) and
press right arrow to display an action menu. This can be done entirely
using keyboard (Alt-F3, type something, down arrow twice -
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/84722, right arrow). However, the
intuitive key for go back to search results - left arrow - does
nothing, going back requires either a mouse click, or pressing Tab and
then Space. Left arrow should go back to items list, and perhaps this
should be indicated by a left arrow icon somewhere.

[Bug 445243] [NEW] gnome-display-properties cannot set virtual resolution

2009-10-07 Thread Koterpillar
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Trying to set up dual screen configuration (Acer Aspire One 110's screen
and Sony SDM-HS95P), I opened gnome-display-properties and set both
screens to their native resolutions (1024x600 and 1280x1024
respectively), clicked Apply. I was told that I need to enable virtual
resolution, I clicked Yes, authenticated for making a system-wide
change, told that I need to log out and log back in. However, nothing
changed on the next logon. I still get 800x600 on each screen and same

[Bug 445251] [NEW] Enable displaying input language instead of keyboard layout in gnome-keyboard-applet

2009-10-07 Thread Koterpillar
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

Currently, gnome-keyboard-applet indicates the selected keyboard layout, not
language that layout belongs to. For example, when entering English using USA
keyboard layout is shows USA.
1. This might be confusing for people using USA layout for entering English in
another countries.
2. When switching between two input languages, more important information is
not layout, but the language itself.
3. This is not consistent with what Windows shows.
So, there should be an option for making gnome-keyboard-applet display not the
layout name, but the language name (abbreviated if needed).

[Bug 421350] [NEW] Keyboard navigation with PgUp/PgDn doesn't move selection

2009-08-30 Thread Koterpillar
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

When navigating folders containing many files, Page Up and Page Down
keys behavior is inconsistent with arrow keys. Arrows move the selection
to the next file, and if needed, scroll the viewport so it is visible.
However, PgUp/PgDn simply scroll the viewport, not switching the
selection. Therefore, if I press down arrow after several PgDn presses,
meaning to advance the viewport one line further, it jumps back to where
the original selected file was. This is inconsistent with, for example,
text editors and browsers.

[Bug 390527] Re: Cannot assign Ctrl-Alt-T to Run a terminal

2009-06-23 Thread Koterpillar
It works with the new user (guest user which I got from the user
switcher). I'm using Russian and English layout, ans also SCIM. However,
running SCIM and adding those layouts in guest doesn't reproduce the
problem; neither does killing everything SCIM-related solve it under my
account. What might be the difference?

[Bug 390566] [NEW] When composing new message, autosuggestion corrupts addresses

2009-06-22 Thread Koterpillar
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

When writing an address in To: field, using suggestions results in
corrupted names/addresses.

To reproduce:
Let's say addr...@example.com is stored in the address book as John Doe.
1. Open Evolution, click New to start composing message.
2. Type first letters of the contact address (for example, addr).
3. When the suggestion box appears, press Enter.

Expected results:
To: field contains John Doe addr...@example.com.

Actual results:
To: field contains J, ohn Doe addr...@example.com.

Also, this does not happen when:
- You press down arrow and then Enter when suggestion box appears.
- You clear the To: field and start again.

I have installed the debugging symbols, but the single crash (so far)
was upon logging into Gnome session, and I can't reproduce it yet.
