[Bug 411350] Re: gnome-screensaver not functioning
Well, so far so good for me. I applied the update, rebooted, changed the screensaver settings to 1 minute, waited and it came on. Moved the mouse to shut it off, played some video files, went to some web pages, stopped activity again for a minute, and the screen saver engaged again. I've tried a bunch of other tests, and each time the screensaver now comes on. My apologies Sebastien, I assigned this to Totem, as it wasn't assigned to anything, and the user stated it only happens with Totem. Jamie, Have you tested the same video file with MPlayer or VLC? Jaime, Since the laptop is crashing on MPlayer as well, then Sebastien is correct, and this is not a Totem specific issue, so I am removing that as the assigned package. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better, but unfortunately I've been unable to reproduce with the video you provided.
