[Bug 411350] Re: gnome-screensaver not functioning

2009-12-04 Thread Lupine
Well, so far so good for me. I applied the update, rebooted, changed
the screensaver settings to 1 minute, waited and it came on. Moved the
mouse to shut it off, played some video files, went to some web pages,
stopped activity again for a minute, and the screen saver engaged again.
I've tried a bunch of other tests, and each time the screensaver now
comes on. Maybe others need to completely reboot?

[Bug 333535] Re: gnome-terminal crashed when exiting a shell

2009-02-23 Thread Lupine
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which
is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper
developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this
bug as a bug in gnome-terminal.

For future reference you might be interested to know that a lot of
applications have bug reporting functionality built in to them. This can
be accessed via the Report a Problem option in the Help menu for the
application with which you are having an issue. You can learn more about
this feature at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

The developers will need that backtrace in order to further
troubleshoot. Try to reproduce this issue and obtain a backtrace
following the instructions at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and upload the backtrace
(as an attachment) to the bug report. This will greatly help us in
tracking down your problem.

[Bug 330756] Re: Totem hangs entire system when playing ogg vorbis, ogg theora or mp3

2009-02-18 Thread Lupine
My apologies Sebastien, I assigned this to Totem, as it wasn't assigned
to anything, and the user stated it only happens with Totem.

Jamie,

Have you tested the same video file with MPlayer or VLC? Also, the
backtrace might capture something useful prior to the crash. And like
Sebastien suggested, the xorg logs would be helpful as well.

[Bug 330756] Re: Totem hangs entire system when playing ogg vorbis, ogg theora or mp3

2009-02-18 Thread Lupine
Jaime,

Since the laptop is crashing on MPlayer as well, then Sebastien is
correct, and this is not a Totem specific issue, so I am removing that
as the assigned package. Now the trick is to find out if the issue is
with Xorg or is the Linux kernel. My initial thought, is that this is
an issue with Xorg and/or the video drivers. So, try and get the Xorg
log as documented here:

[Bug 323151] [NEW] groupwise deleted messages not deleting

2009-01-30 Thread Lupine
Public bug reported:

1) Ubuntu 8.10 - Intrepid Ibex
2) Evolution 2.24.3-0ubuntu1 0
3) Delete an email in Evolution, should get deleted in GroupWise
4) Whenever I delete emails via Evolution, they are staying in GroupWise. I
have to launch the GWise client, or Webaccess in order to delete them out of
GWise. Happens in any folder that has email.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Create an Evolution account for GroupWise version 7.0.3HP1
2) Receive some email
3) Delete some email
4) Evolution will show the message goes away
5) However, check GWise via Webaccess or GWise Client, message is still there

issue on Ubuntu 8.10. I followed your steps, but between steps 3 and
steps 4 it should be noted that I had to click a specific day within the
month (any month) and then the print preview would show the correct
Month, otherwise it would default to the current month. Does that make
sense, and if you click a specific day, does it work for you?

[Bug 315954] Re: cmake did not find source file

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, this particular bug doesn't sound like an issue
with gnome-terminal, but more so an application you are trying to
compile from source using gnome-terminal. What specific steps should we
take to recreate this bug?

This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

2009-01-10 Thread Lupine
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which
is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper
developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this
bug as a bug in gnome-power-manager.

For this particular issue, I think it is a misunderstanding of the
process more so than a bug. When you get to step 3) in your procedure,
you are browsing to a folder that contains files, so no particular
files will show up in the browse for a folder dialog until you select a
folder. However, at that point, in the Browse icons list...you should
see a list of the files. Does that make sense?

[Bug 311496] Re: no accurate counting while uploading

2009-01-05 Thread Lupine
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better, but unfortunately I've been unable to reproduce your
issue on Ubuntu 8.10. Can you reproduce this issue with an Ubuntu LIVE
CD and report back if the problem still exists on Ubuntu 8.10 LIVE CD?
When I send a file attachment, it does count rather quickly
through...but it does count. I justed tested this and saw that it
started at 0% hopped to 14% and then finished at 100%. I can explain
the reason for the quick hops, and that is because I have a fast upload
Internet connection.

[Bug 311602] Re: evolution assigns wrong identity with multiple IMAP accounts

2009-01-04 Thread Lupine
I can confirm this behavior is happening on Ubuntu 8.10, and on multiple
devices.

Mark,

Can you test something for me? Does it work correctly if you click on
the actual bolded header for the identity, instead of (for example) the
Inbox? If I click on anything other than that bolded header...meaning,
Inbox, Cabinet, Sent, Trash...etc, it will always default to my default
selected identity, instead of the correctly selected IMAP account.

I've seen past bugs talking about similar issues when hitting the reply
button, but this is a different bug we are describing here. This bug
affects generating a new email.

[Bug 309990] Re: crashes when loading list of audio files

2008-12-21 Thread Lupine
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better, but unfortunately I've been unable to duplicate this bug.
I've tried this with WAV, MP3 and OGG files. Is there any output if you
launch brasero from a terminal? Applications will some times give
better error messages when launched from a terminal. If you can
reproduce this crash, and post anything that is displayed in the
terminal that might help.

[Bug 310252] Re: brightness applet not work correctly

2008-12-21 Thread Lupine
Also, I noticed this is a function of the Gnome Power Manager - Power
Manager Brightness Applet 2.24.0 so I changed the package from acpi to
gpm, as the regular Fn keys method does work.

** Changed in: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu)
Sourcepackagename: acpi = gnome-power-manager

[Bug 310202] Re: Alacarte corrupts applications.menu when remove item added by wine

2008-12-21 Thread Lupine
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better, but unfortunately I've been unable to duplicate this
issue on Ubuntu 8.10. I have installed a few different Wine
applications, and edited the Gnome menu via alacarte. All my changes
took, and the menu looks as I would expect it to.
