[Bug 686566] [NEW] GTK tooltips appear only after the mouse is moved
Public bug reported: Hello, On all GTK tooltips, if the mouse goes to a place on the widget in a single movement, the tooltip won't show until it is moved again. This is very noticable when trying to view XKCD's alt-text on Chrome (which uses native GTK tooltips), but the behavior is the same for all tooltips - see the attached video of the applications menu. [Bug 664330] [NEW] Don't hide the option for removing the ubuntu one ribbon
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus Hello, I upgraded to Maverick, to see a big red band on top of some of my folders saying that they are not synchronized with Ubuntu One. They look alarming, and take up a lot of rare vertical space. I tried clicking on them, but they give no hint on how to make them go away (except for synchronizing with Ubuntu one, I guess...) I looked through the view menu, and found no mention of this ribbon. I had to search forums in order to find that File-Ubuntu One-Hide Ribbon does it. Really, add a button on the ribbon to hide it. It doesn't smell well when a commercial product grabs so much attention and doesn't let me remove it. Also, there's no point in suggesting to synchronize the downloads folder, even if I were using Ubuntu One. Re: [Bug 426185] Re: Gnome-panel fails to load various applets
I'm not using lucid, but I'm not even sure that Bernhard is talking about the same bug as most of us. The problem is about applets not loading, not about the weather applet not updating. Anyway, since this bug comes and goes, and nobody knows what's causing it, closing it because of one report that it stopped happenning is too hasty. -- Gnome-panel fails to load various applets https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/426185 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

I think that that's the reason why if I log out and log in again it works fine: libraries were already loaded, so starting up the environment is faster so the problem doesn't happen. Re: [Bug 426185] Re: Gnome-panel fails to load various applets
I can say by personal experience that It has not been fixed in Karmic. Since it isn't clear what causes this problem, the fact that it doesn't reveal itself for someone on Lucid doesn't necessarily mean that it was fixed. -- Gnome-panel fails to load various applets https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/426185 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

This is related to the half-proprietary app dropbox. [Bug 450763] [NEW] problem when loading panel applets after boot without login screen
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel Hello, I just upgraded to karmic.
