[Bug 99538] Re: Feisty usb stick Cannot eject volume

Ahh great! Thanks to b0ng0 for that nice hint. This exactly is what I
recognized. It just unmounts the mount points but doesn't switch off the
external hdd.
But with b0ng0's command it just disconnects the drive as it was via
right-clicking under Dapper Edgy.

Thanks a lot dude!

[Bug 106214] network-manager icon disappears when deactivating wireless network

2007-04-13 Thread UJones
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

When right clicking on the network-manager icon and deactivating the second
option (wireless network) the icon vanishes. But it leaves some space left,
clicking on that doesn't bring up the network-manager dialog.
But the notification area is still there because the seperator line is still
there!
Thus adding the notification area again doesn't help either, only the seperator
line is added then.
The only solution - I found out yet - to get the icon back is to restart the
x-server by Ctrl+Alt+Backspace.

I found something similiar but I'm not sure if it is the same:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/45000

I'm using Feisty Fawn Beta with all updates installed available up to
now.

[Bug 104407] CPU frequency selector menu is not available in preferences dialog; missing kernel support?

2007-04-08 Thread UJones
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

In CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor applet:
When opening the preferences dialog I'm common to activate the frequency
selctor, e.g. to save battery capacity by switching down to 800MHz when using
my laptop's battery.
But by default the menu point is missing.
