[Bug 533109] Re: Icon missing for notification flash when indicator applet isn't used.
This bug still exists in Oneiric 11.10. Along with other icons, notably the Zoom In/Out and Normal Size in the Nautilus View menu. Going on two years without packaging these icons and it would be nice if they were included. Assuming that the people who know how to change the default behavior of Unity/Gnome will know how to symlink icons is not an acceptable workaround to the issue, in my opinion. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/533109 Title: Icon missing for notification flash when indicator applet isn't used. [Bug 854624] Re: [oneiric] Gnome3/Unity session fails to apply suspend/hibernate parameters, set by Power Settings dialog
Correct, it no longer suspends when it shouldn't. However, there is still a bug highly affecting release quality in gnome- screensaver. The screensaver ignores the settings under Screen and never resumes from screen blanking, X must be restarted. The only resolution is to kill the gnome-screensaver process via startup command (DPMS is disabled). I believe this is the same issue of not properly communicating settings to dconf, but probably needs a bug of its own. Unfortunately, I'm getting timeout errors when searching for it so I'll have to wait until later. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/854624 Title: [oneiric] Gnome3/Unity session fails to apply suspend/hibernate parameters, set by Power Settings dialog To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/854624/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 854624] Re: [oneiric] Gnome3/Unity session fails to apply suspend/hibernate parameters, set by Power Settings dialog
Eugene, no those were not my settings for suspend behavior. It is set to suspend after 10 minutes on battery and when the lid is closed. On AC it is set to never suspend over time or when the lid is closed. Furthermore, changing the dconf settings was not effective, the behavior returned after a reboot, which is happening quite a bit with this beta. Though, there have been some recent updates to this and it seems to be honoring my settings now as it was not suspended when I woke up this morning. However, there is still a major issue with the screensaver. When set to Never it activates immediately, leaving the best alternative option of 1 hour. This 1 hour setting is also not honored and I'm unable to watch fullscreen flash or movies without the screensaver activating every few minutes. Any information on this would be appreciated, including a bug specifically targeted at this unexpected behavior.

I also have an issue where if I set the screensaver to Never it enables in one second. Then, it never returns from a blank screen, I have to use sudo restart lightdm or sudo reboot to get my desktop back.
[Bug 854624] Re: [oneiric] suspend/hibernate not performed according to Power Settings
This issue still exists as of this post on Gnome 3.2.0. My laptop suspends after an unknown period of time regardless of the settings I choose in Power Settings. Currently, it is set to suspend only when on battery power (it is on AC always at home), but still suspends after time. Also, the resume tends to cause Compiz/Unity to crash while the system attempts to reconnect to the network and IRC. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/854624 Title: [oneiric] suspend/hibernate not performed according to Power Settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/854624/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 532633] Re: [Master] Window Control buttons: position/order/alignment
My apologies if this is redundant data. Most certainly due to the popularity of this bug, the buttons are nearly completely configurable in either left or right side situations. However, if additional .png associations could be made for the close and menu buttons, specifically when they are isolated from the other buttons, it would be completely (as far as I can tell) configurable. As of light-themes_0.1.6.0 when these two buttons are placed by themselves away from the others, the background is rather ugly, and I'm sure this is a simple fix. Again, sorry if this post is redundant. -- [Master] Window Control buttons: position/order/alignment https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/532633 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
