[Bug 750700] Re: Unity Compiz plugin captures F10 for menu even when explicitly disabled in gnome-terminal

2011-05-01 Thread ortylp
Does the Invalid status mean, that nobody cares? I understand, that it is
not a problem of gnome-terminal, but the bug must not disappear without a trace
in a bag of other Invalid bugs.
Shouldn't there be new bug for Unity about this issue?
A bug, that would be referenced here somehow?

[Bug 750700] [NEW] gnome-terminal captures F10 for menu even when explicitely disabled

2011-04-04 Thread ortylp
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

There is menu item in Edit/Keyboard Shortcuts which says Enable the menu
shortcut key (F10 by default).
The F10 key is captured by gnome-terminal regardless of the checkbox described
above.

It might be the case, that F10 does not come through to gnome-terminal
and is captured by the window manager which in turn shows the menu. It
is surely configurable somewhere via gconf-editor, but it does not
change the fact, that the user gets really confused. The configuration
option available via gnome-terminal menu DOES NOT WORK IN THE DEFAULT
Ubuntu CONFIGURATION. It cannot be expected from the average/target
user to hunt for the application capturing F10 and disabling it. There
is a half dozen of entries containing F10 to be found via gconf-editor.

ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04
Package: gnome-terminal 2.32.1-0ubuntu3

Cleaning gconf entries and reboot does not help, the F10 is still
captured.

[Bug 263583] [NEW] play sequence for iPod Shuffle is not deterministic

2008-09-01 Thread ortylp
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

After tracks get copied (installed) on the iPod the files may be played from
the iPod drive directly.
The track name does not correspond to the audio contents.

The playback sequence on the iPod is the same as playback in the GUI,
but different than the track names would suggest.

This bug is a blocker because it is not possible to listen to audio
books (the only use for the mp3 player) -- the chapters are always mixed
up.

[Bug 263583] Re: play sequence for iPod Shuffle is not deterministic

2008-09-01 Thread ortylp
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: rhythmbox

After tracks get copied (installed) on the iPod the files may be played from
the iPod drive directly.
The track name does not correspond to the audio contents.

The playback sequence on the iPod is the same as playback in the GUI,
but different than the track names would suggest.

This bug is a blocker because it is not possible to listen to audio
books (the only use for the mp3 player) -- the chapters are always mixed
  up.
+
+ To reproduce:
+ 1. subscribe to podcast(s)
+ 2. sort podcasts e.g by date
+ 3. make sure you can distinguish audio contents and be able to remember the
proper name/title of the podcast
+ (podcasts with sequence numbers are perfect at that)
+ 4. connect your iPod Shuffle
+ 5. clean up contents of the iPod
+ 6. mark a sorted sequence od podcasts and drop it to the device (iPod Shuffle)
+ 7. experience the BUG
+ 7a. play tracks directly from the iPod Shuffle device: some of audio tracks
will be out of order, track titles seem to be sorted, the audio is NOT.
+ 7b. eject the iPod, play the audio from the beginning (in the non shuffle
mode!) the sequence will be identical to the one experienced in 7a, that is
audio is out of order... try listening to audio book this way...
