[Bug 553920] [NEW] gedit Opens Automatically Executable Text Files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus I'm not sure if this is a bug or a conflict between my applications. I noticed that Nautilus does not open properly executable text files. It supposed to be executed, but instead gedit opens it automatically. I have set the option to Ask each time under Executable Text Files behavior in Nautilus Preferences but it doesn't display the option to either Run, Display or Cancel. I am running Ubuntu 9.10 with Ubuntu Tweak, ClamTk and Wine and have the latest updates of all packages. What's wrong? Hi! To better help you with the problem, please answer the following questions aside from what's asked above: 1. How did you set the screensaver and what are the settings? 2. Do you have a specific screensaver to be activated? I have my machine set to have blank screen after an hour of idleness. Checked the Lock screen when screensaver is active, which will require me to enter my password to activated desktop again for use. -- Whenever the computer goes to sleep, hibernate, or any other screensaver activating action, the computer frozes on a black screen. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/550132 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

I can't confirm if this is a bug as I didn't upgrade from Karmic. I did a fresh install instead. Have you tried reinstalling the screensaver in Synaptic? -- Whenever the computer goes to sleep, hibernate, or any other screensaver activating action, the computer frozes on a black screen. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/550132 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
