A Trusty task should be opened for this bug to properly track its status. This bug still exists in 14.04 and is extremely annoying. As a vim user that uses the / for every search in every app this is a huge regression. The h,j,k,l keys mentioned in another bug works, but the / mentioned in this bug was never fixed in 14.04.
