This bug has occurred three times today for me. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A freeze or black screen often means something has crashed. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. The same today. I just browsed some pages on the Internet and... BOOM. Unfortunately, I can't provide any details because I always have to unplug the cable from the power outlet. (I don't see any HD activity - as I remember - so I don't think it's because of out of memory.) I don't know what happened to Ubuntu 17.10 but it has became very unstable since the update. Can it be my fault? What should I do? Should I do a clean installation?
