If I run this with a file "_usr_bin_gnome-shell.1000.crash" a crash
report is generated which I sent. I didn't get an ID however.

I only see the crash from above which was sent.

A file is attached with the results of 'journalctl -b' . To generate
this I set login to login using Xorg. After logging in the machine
crashed with a frozen mouse and a purple screen. I did a reset using
SysReq R E I S U B . When getting to login screen I reset login to use
Wayland. I logged in and ran 'journalctl -b' in a terminal .

2018-05-16 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Thanks. It looks like you have a hybrid system with both Nvidia/Intel
GPUs.

In case the freezes are caused by something crashing, please also:

1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run:
   ubuntu-bug /var/crash/YOURFILE.crash
and tell us the ID of any new bug created.

2. Check for older crashes send from your system by looking at
https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the contents of
/var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id. If you find any links to crashes that you
think are relevant then please share them here.

3. Attach output from 'journalctl -b' from right after a failure has
occurred.
