This bug was fixed in the package gimp - 2.4.5-1ubuntu1 --- gimp (2.4.5-1ubuntu1) hardy; urgency=low * Merge from Debian unstable. Upstream's desktop.in.in has always had name set to "GNU Image Manipulation Program". The patch 03_gimp.desktop.in.in.patch modified this to be "GIMP Image Editor".
