[Bug 207890] Re: Failed to set the system time error message
I checked it again with the hardy beta livecd and it also happens there. It's maybe Macbook related cause I'm running it on a Macbook pro and I get the same issue on my girlfriend's Macbook. -- Failed to set the system time error message https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207890 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 207890] Re: Failed to set the system time error message
what version of gnome-panel do you use? do you get the error every time you try? ** Changed in: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- Failed to set the system time error message https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207890 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 207890] Re: Failed to set the system time error message
It's gnome-panel 2.22.0-0ubuntu2. I get the error every time (as said, when I move the date forward, not when I move it backward). Tomorrow evening I'll be back home and will try with the hardy beta live cd to see if just something happened when I upgraded (like some other bugs I have now which don't happen with the livecd so when I reinstall the computer from scratch they will probably be gone.) -- Failed to set the system time error message https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207890 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 207890] Re: Failed to set the system time error message
unconfirming for now, I don't get the issue, note that the gnome-panel has been changed to use time-admin today so the bug will not be an issue on hardy now ** Changed in: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = New -- Failed to set the system time error message https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207890 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Thank you for your bug report. [Bug 207890] Re: Failed to set the system time error message
** Description changed: + Clock applet on hardy beta shows unnecessary error message. + Steps to reproduce it: 1- Add the clock applet to a gnome panel 2- Right click on the applet 3- Adjust date time 4- Change date to some date in the future 5- Click Set system time Error message appears: Failed to set the system time Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. The date is changed nonetheless. When I change the date back to a past date the message doesn't appear. Don't know if it's related to bug #191471 or not. -- Failed to set the system time error message https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207890 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
