Side note: pressing F5 or Ctrl-R (refresh) makes the scrollbar (re)appear on the currently open tab. Confirmed in Intrepid final. Bug: If you have nautilus open and middle-click a folder to open it in a new tab, if it has a number of items that overflow the window size, the scrollbar will not be shown on this new tab. I'd like to add that you don't even have to do any tricks with showing hidden files, simply tab swapping will kill the scrollbar.
