[Bug 275762] Re: should detect that monitor was disconnected when waking from suspend
Using Lucid beta1, I find that this occurs even if I explicitly divert the display *back* to the LCD before suspending. 1. Connect external monitor 2. Divert display to external monitor only 3. Divert display back to LCD 4. Suspend 5. Disconnect external monitor 5. Resume -- no display! -- should detect that monitor was disconnected when waking from suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275762 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 275762] Re: should detect that monitor was disconnected when waking from suspend
The same on lucid beta1 Very annoying. After disconnecting external monitor and resuming from suspend there's no image on LCD screen. But it appears after I type in password blindly. Also notebook hardware key combo Fn+F5 (switch LCD/external) doesn't work until logged in.
The same behaviour can be observed if the external monitor was not even enabled before going to suspension, meaning: 1. connect external monitor, but do not configure it (it won't show anything) 2. Go to suspension and wake 3. The display will jump to the other monitor. (not only login - but everything) -- should detect that monitor was disconnected when waking from suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275762 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 275762] Re: should detect that monitor was disconnected when waking from suspend
I just checked, it behaves still the same. (blindly typing password ENTER Alt-F2 xrandr --auto ENTER bswitches back to the builtin LCD panel, but not automatically) -- should detect that monitor was disconnected when waking from suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275762 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
