Upstream has confirmed this is a bug in Glade 3 (the data for TreeStore GtkBuildable has yet to be defined). Thanks for your bug report. I'm reassigning to GTK+ as Glade 3.6 is able to load this UI file correctly - It is when loading in GTK+ where the problem occurs. The problem appears to be in: gtk/gtktreestore.c: gtk_tree_store_buildable_custom_tag_start() Where it doesn't handle the data tag.
