[Bug 363282] Re: Gstreamer reports internal data flow error for ogg vorbis stream

2010-10-15 Thread Pedro Villavicencio
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. A new version of GStreamer is available on Maverick and
we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that
version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.

Usually the correct workaround is to enable crossfading on whatever
player you are using.

2010-02-26 Thread maksymov.vlad
Hi!
I have the same problem with icecast + exaile (Internal data flow error) /
Totem Rhythmbox (buffering and buffering and buffering...). about 10sec
before changing tracks.
But, vlc works well without errors. O_o why?

2010-02-16 Thread NetComrade
same issue on 9.10 32bit and exaile player. assume it uses gstreamer

one player that seems to work (acc streaming, not ogg) is Gnome Mplayer

Mplayer Media Player and Listen player don't seem to be change track
aware (they either keep displaying the same song, or don't display the
song at all)

2009-11-02 Thread zemudkram
I've got this in Karmic 32bit, playing an icecast stream through Exaile.
When the track changes, Exaile will pop up an Internal Data Flow Error
message

I confirm this on Jaunty 32 bit. Ogg stream works for about 15 sec
before stopping.

[Bug 363282] Re: Gstreamer reports internal data flow error for ogg vorbis stream

2009-08-04 Thread Phillip A.
Confirmed - on jaunty, .m3u Ogg streams work initially in Rhythmbox -
this error seems to occur for me when information about the next track
in the stream is being fetched, i.e. about 10sec before changing
tracks/songs

2009-04-18 Thread Sebastien Bacher
thank you for your bug report, you could perhaps open it on
bugzilla.gnome.org too where the people writting gstreamer will read it?
there is no gstreamer hacker in the current ubuntu team and they will
have a better clue about the issue

[Bug 363282] Re: Gstreamer reports internal data flow error for ogg vorbis stream

2009-04-18 Thread Johan Ehnberg
Thank you for your response! The way I see it, media playback has been
very essential for a desktop distro since 10+ years ago.

If there are no gstreamer experts within Ubuntu, why not switch to xine
as it is clearly superior (8-xine vs 4-gstreamer, out of 10 of my
personal media playback needs are fulfilled) plus the fact that
supporting a certain infrastructure officially somehow prequisites
maintainers to at least upstream essential bugs...

Well, this is just my effort to make JJ better.

2009-04-18 Thread Sebastien Bacher
there is many reason why gstreamer is better than xine so let's not
start this discussion again, GNOME which is upstream decided to use the
toolkit which has the design most adapted to a modern desktop experience
and it's working quite well nowadays
