Getting the fix back upstream (by attaching the patch to the bug report) is appreciated. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #581084 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=581084 ** Also affects: system-tools-backends via http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=581084 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- system::admin::services is broken in karmic (says platform is unsupported) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371234 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to system-tools-backends in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 371234] Re: system::admin::services is broken in karmic (says platform is unsupported)
Andre, this was fixed by Debian by updating the Debian patch (01_debian_4.0.patch). Thus, by removing much of it, the problem got fixed. I don't think it's an upstream problem. -- system::admin::services is broken in karmic (says platform is unsupported) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371234 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to system-tools-backends in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

I guess you just have to tell gnome-system-tools about the fact that karmic exists. -- system::admin::services is broken in karmic (says platform is unsupported) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371234 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-system-tools in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
