[Bug 37272] Re: gparted segfaults on access to XFS volume on LVM

2008-06-02 Thread Hewus
This bug is still marked as being present in xfsprogs. Has it been fixed
here, or are people still experiencing problems?

I fixed this gparted crash a while ago; it was also bug 50909.

I think this is xfsprogs problem. xfs_check /lvm/partition also returns:

[Bug 37272] Re: gparted segfaults on access to XFS volume on LVM

2006-05-18 Thread Ante Karamatić
More info:

xfs_check fails on mounted partitions with this ugly messages. If
partition is umounted, xfs_check does what it should do, but gparted
still fails with message:

/dev/mapper/system-vol1p1: No such file or directory

fatal error -- couldn't initialize XFS library

glibmm-ERROR **:
unhandled exception (type std::exception) in signal handler:
what: basic_string::substr

/dev/mapper/system-vol1p1 really doesn't exsist. This could be major
problem with gparted and LVM partitions.

2006-05-18 Thread Ante Karamatić
Creating a link:

ln -s /dev/mapper/system-vol1 /dev/mapper/system-vol1p1

makes gparted work again. Parse error?
