[Bug 405995] [NEW] Usability: Mount drive password prompt and keyring unlock interfere with each other on startup.
You have been subscribed to a public bug: This bug is pertaining to Ubuntu Karmic Koala Alpha 3. On startup I get two prompts: 1. Authentication to mount drive 2. Keyring unlock There are several usability issues with this: a) Authentication to mount drive is above prompt for keyring unlock, but cant interact with mount drive prompt till I unlock keyring. It would be very easy not to see keyring prompt as it is obscured by the other prompt. b) There doesnt appear to be a way (atleast from within the prompt) to stop these prompts appearing / remember the password. c) I cant take a screenshot of this bug because I have to dismiss both prompts to use computer. Obviously these prompts are necessary for security purposes, but they need to be rethought so that they are less obtrusive. ** Affects: gnome-keyring (Ubuntu) Importance: Low Status: Invalid -- Usability: Mount drive password prompt and keyring unlock interfere with each other on startup. https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/405995 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-keyring in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
