For me, there is nothing fixed. Using indicator-session - hibernate and turning back on brings me directly to the desktop, even if i have activated locking the screen in screensaver settings. I cannot reproduce this. On current Karmic, when I close the lid and reopen it again, it resumes and I get the gnome-screensaver lock dialog. I have found another problem. It is not only the indicator applet, if the system goes to sleep after x minutes because of the gnome-power-manager setting the screen is also not locked. This seems to be caused by the fact that in Jaunty we asked GNOME Power to suspend for us but now we're using DeviceKit-power (which is good) but it's not handling the desktop side of things for us. I experienced this bug using gnome-power-manger version 2.27.92-0ubuntu1 in karmic. I built the previous version of the package, version 2.27.91-0ubuntu1, and installed it.
