Additional observation: In the undocked status: When I insert a USB stick everything works fine again. In my case this bug only occurs when my Thinkpad R51 is undocked. When my Thinkpad R51 is docked in a ThinkPad Dock II the bug does not occur. The ThinkPad Dock II contains an additional 320 GB hdd.
