[Bug 510582] Re: power management brigtness display chages
I installled the 9.10 in the same laptop which is Hp 6535s and have the same problem. When i start the OS, brightness is different from what i configured but it reverts back to my configuration as soon as i open the power management ( systempreferencepower management ) I still have not tried with 10.04 but i feel this problem occurs only during start up... And i just noticed that when i remove the adapter the screen actually became brighter but dimmed after i put the plug in and out few times.. -- power management brigtness display chages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/510582 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Thank you for including the extra information. Can you please let us know your computer manufacturer and model? Also, could you possibly test this with the latest release of Ubuntu 10.04? This is something that you should be able to test with a Live CD so you do not need to change anything about your computer. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ .
