[Bug 510582] Re: power management brigtness display chages

2010-03-17 Thread Jaco Mathew
I installled the 9.10 in the same laptop which is Hp 6535s and have the
same problem. When i start the OS, brightness is different from what i
configured but it reverts back to my configuration as soon as i open the
power management ( systempreferencepower management ) I still have not
tried with 10.04 but i feel this problem occurs only during start up...
And i just noticed that when i remove the adapter the screen actually
became brighter but dimmed after i put the plug in and out few times..

[Bug 510582] Re: power management brigtness display chages

2010-02-15 Thread Draycen DeCator
Thank you for including the extra information. Can you please let us
know your computer manufacturer and model? Also, could you possibly test
this with the latest release of Ubuntu 10.04? This is something that you
should be able to test with a Live CD so you do not need to change
anything about your computer. You can find out more about the
development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and
we appreciate your help.

[Bug 510582] Re: power management brigtness display chages

2010-02-13 Thread Draycen DeCator
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important
for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn
more about finding the right package at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a
bug in gnome-power-manager.
For future reference you might be interested to know that a lot of applications
have bug reporting functionality built in to them. This can be accessed via the
Report a Problem option in the Help menu for the application with which you are
having an issue. You can learn more about this feature at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.
