I have the opposite experience (new bug or related?): Case 1: receipt asked. Click no -- receipt sent. Case 1: receipt asked. Click yes -- receipt sent (with slightly different subject). Case 3: In Preferences - Mail Accounts - [account] - Defaults I set Never for Send message receipts option. Send a mail including a request -- receipt is sent. Steps to reproduce: 1. Set send message receipts to Never or Ask. (didn't test the 3rd case) 2. Send yourself a mail including a message receipt (insert - request read receipt) 3. I confirm this, too. Ubuntu 9.10, Evo 2.28.1. As recipient of a mail tagged in Evo with ask for read receipt I don't get a pop-up opening the mail. This is so if I tag the individual mail or if I set it as general option. Btw., prioritize the mail doesn't work as well. I do not see the urgency of this bug as low.
