We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. This bug was reported some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time. Ubuntu 9.10 (karmic) reached end-of-life on April 30, 2011. Do you still see a problem related to the one that was reported when using a currently supported version of Ubuntu? I just checked version 2.30.0 of evince which was installed by debootstrap for lucid. The error still occurs in the same way it does with 2.28.1 of karmic.
