[Bug 581799] Re: Lot of dbus errors
Indeed, the problem disappeared with Maverick, everything works fine now. For information, the problem was still present with release 10.04.1, on a fresh install on a dell E4310 and D430. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of GVFS is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Yes it does exactly the same. I tried reinstalling the entire system from scratch, with same results. I tried to replace metacity with other (xfwm), and replace gnome with xfce. [Bug 581799] Re: Lot of dbus errors
Thanks for your quick response. I didn't manage to have gvfs-gdu-volume crashing again, actually most of the time it simply exits continuously, with the following error message : (process:19554): GVFS-RemoteVolumeMonitorDaemon-WARNING **: cannot add match rule 'type='signal',interface='org.freedesktop.DBus',member='NameOwnerChanged',arg0=':1.45'': org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. However, the upowerd daemon really crashes continuously, with the following backtrace : (upowerd:22525): GLib-WARNING **: GError set over the top of a previous GError or uninitialized memory.
