[Bug 609810] Re: Power Management Preferences - Display Setting Ignored
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of Gnome Power Manager is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Power Management Preferences - Display Setting Ignored https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/609810 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 609810] Re: Power Management Preferences - Display Setting Ignored
** Description changed: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager Since the installation of a fresh 10.04 when I set both "Put computer to sleep", and "Put display to sleep" to "Never", upon a new login, the display will sleep after 10 minutes. However, if I click "Make Default" the setting is honored and the display doesn't sleep. - Other info? - Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS - Release: 10.04 - - gnome-power-manager: - Installed: 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 - Candidate: 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 - Version table: - *** 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 0 - 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages - 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: gnome-power-manager 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-24.38-generic 2.6.32.15+drm33.5 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-24-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: i386 Date: Sun Jul 25 13:35:45 2010 GnomeSessionIdleInhibited: Unknown GnomeSessionInhibitors: Failed to acquire GnomeSessionSuspendInhibited: Unknown InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release i386 (20100721) MachineType: Intel Corporation SE7505VB2 ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-24-generic root=UUID=9be0afd9-4c12-476c-8ee7-45a933cdce43 ro quiet splash acpi=off ProcEnviron: - PATH=(custom, no user) - LANG=en_US.utf8 - SHELL=/bin/bash + PATH=(custom, no user) + LANG=en_US.utf8 + SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-power-manager dmi.bios.date: 09/07/2004 dmi.bios.vendor: Phoenix Technologies LTD dmi.bios.version: SE7505VB20.86B.037.P11.0409072218 dmi.board.name: SE7505VB2 Board dmi.board.vendor: Intel Corporation dmi.board.version: C02 dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Tag dmi.chassis.type: 7 dmi.chassis.vendor: No Enclosure dmi.chassis.version: N/A dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnPhoenixTechnologiesLTD:bvrSE7505VB20.86B.037.P11.0409072218:bd09/07/2004:svnIntelCorporation:pnSE7505VB2:pvrMVB:rvnIntelCorporation:rnSE7505VB2Board:rvrC02:cvnNoEnclosure:ct7:cvrN/A: dmi.product.name: SE7505VB2 dmi.product.version: MVB dmi.sys.vendor: Intel Corporation -- Power Management Preferences - Display Setting Ignored https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/609810 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 609810] Re: Power Management Preferences - Display Setting Ignored
A slight elaboration on the description above: The settings will always display as "Never", and on a new login, the display will sleep after 10 minutes. This is changed when I click "Make Default" on Power Management Preferences as a user. When I log out and back in, or reboot, the display sleeps after 10 minutes until Make Default is clicked, after which is works correctly until relogin, or reboot. -- Power Management Preferences - Display Setting Ignored https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/609810 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
