[Bug 654225] Re: Google calendar type and contact list type missing
I have the same problem. I use Ubuntu 12.04. So I had Ubuntu installed and had the Google Calendar and Contacts. Then I wanted to try the beta Version of 12.10 which didn't work out. That's why I reinstalled Ubuntu 12.04 and kept my home partition. After reinstall I have google contacts, but no google calendar and installing updates, rebooting and whatsoever has no effect. I also allready deleted all evolution files I found (in .local, .gconf, .config), but I probably didn't find all, 'cause after starting evolution again my accounts where still there, but google calendar didn't apear. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/654225 Title: Google calendar type and contact list type missing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/654225/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 654225] Re: Google calendar type and contact list type missing
I have just now been able to reproduce this bug by installing Ubuntu 10.10 from scratch from the ISO (the gold version this time, not the beta). Once again the Google options (and a few more) were missing just after the install. I have attached a screenshot showing the problem. Once again the Google options appeared after installing updates (I'm not sure that's relevant though as there were only a few and none related to Evolution as far as I could see) and rebooting. I installed in a VirtualBox VM (which explains the two mouse cursors in the screenshot), but I don't think that's a contributing factor since I assume Paco Avila did not install in a VM. ** Attachment added: Screenshot showing the problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/654225/+attachment/1692931/+files/Screenshot-1.png -- Google calendar type and contact list type missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/654225 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 654225] Re: Google calendar type and contact list type missing
I reinstalled the beta from the same ISO (once again choosing to install updates during the installation process), and this time the Google choices were there from the start. The Google choices definitely were missing the first time. Also, the first time the default address book which had been created automatically by Evolution was of type On This Computer, but the second time it was of type CouchDB, so something is definitely going on. -- Google calendar type and contact list type missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/654225 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 654225] Re: Google calendar type and contact list type missing
Well, I tried reinstalling from the same ISO once again, this time without installing updates during the installation process, and once again the Google choices were there from the start. It seems I can't reproduce this any more. Strange. Maybe something didn't get installed or initialized correctly the first time due to some external reason, perhaps a timing issue or something to do with network connectivity. -- Google calendar type and contact list type missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/654225 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 654225] Re: Google calendar type and contact list type missing
OK, this is bizarre. On my system the Google choices are there now too... In fact, a few choices have suddenly appeared which definitely weren't there previously. New Address Book previously had just: On This Computer On LDAP Servers And now it has: On This Computer On LDAP Servers WebDAV Google CouchDB And New Calendar previously had just: On This Computer On The Web And now it has: On This Computer On The Web Weather Google CalDAV So it's not just Google which had been missing. I have no idea why the choices suddenly reappeared, but possibly it had to do with the fact that I had not rebooted after installing all the latest updates (the Update Manager did not say I had to). Maybe some update only kicked in after the reboot. So there's definitely something going on, although apparently it's fixed after installing all updates and rebooting. I'll see if I can reproduce this by installing the beta again. -- Google calendar type and contact list type missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/654225 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
