I've gotten this twice shortly after booting to the live DE with Ubuntu 20110921.2/oneiric-desktop-i386. This hardware, specifically VIA P4M800 graphics chip, boots to Unity 2D so this may be limited to the 2D DE. This shows up with with my Intel i945 also ;^( But I almost think it's a false alarm. There are no obvious deficits if you just click on close. Maybe just a race with apport? Having now performed installations on both sets of hardware I can say this only occurs in the live DE.
