Happened the first time. Not sure I can reproduce. For me gcalctool crashed as soon as I switched mode from basic to financial. If you switch from standard mode to financial the calculator crashes. For me it happened when I just opened it and tried to switch to Financial mode. It did not do anything so I tried again.
