[Bug 367074] Re: nsf files imported incorrectly
I'm afraid I can't, as I don't know about an nsf file that allows redistribution. Most of the files include sound track from a NES/Famicom game. Those are probably abandon ware and many of such files seem to be available at Zophar's Domain ( http://www.zophar.net/music/nsf.html ). Rest of the nsf music is created by Demo Scene folks and is often all rights reserved. 2A03.org ( http://2a03.org/ ) attempts to archive such works for future generations to hear. Having multiple songs in one file is typical with some music format's. Most notably SID (Commodore64 music) and NSF (NES/Famicom music), where the original works were not that separate and artificially separating the songs from each other afterwards wouldn't make lots of sense. Instead starting points of the songs are marked with pointers within the file headers. -- nsf files imported incorrectly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367074 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 331456] Re: Fullscreen not using whole screen
Hi Robert, There are no desktop effects enabled on my machine. I'll try to have a look at it tonight/tomorrow whether switching it on/off makes a difference... I 'm hoping to upgrade one of these days, although that might not be before next weekend. Once I get there I will post a comment here. Thx for looking into this. PS: in the meanwhile I've changed the way VNC-server works on the WindowsXP side so it only sends through the 'virtual' 1600x1200 screen (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RealVNC\WinVNC4\DisplayDevice is set to \\.\DISPLAY2) Sadly it remains trial error to get it to go full-screen properly on the Ubuntu side, so I don't think it's because of the enormous resolution I was trying to pass along... -- Fullscreen not using whole screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/331456 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to vinagre in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 11334] Re: Copy-Paste doesn't work if the source is closed before the paste
@Michael Nagel: I've tried Glipper, Parcellite and Desktop Data Manager. In my opinion Glipper and Percellite just don't work. Both of them only support text, I've had problems with these applications not starting when booting the system, after installing these applications the copy / paste function of OpenOffice.org stopped working properly. I'm using Desktop Data Manager for months now and I haven't had any problems. It not only supports text, but also images. I haven't had any problems with this application. It always starts and copy / paste just works, always. maybe in a modified version to show no task list icon (and thus only exposing the basic copy and paste just works-behavior but not the advanced historyco options). Re: [Bug 367291] Re: weather doesn't show forecast anymore
I understand that you can't have every single town in the world in the database. I ran svn co http://svn.gnome.org/svn/libgweather/trunk libgweather to see what is there. From what I see it is NOT a database issue. My town, and more importantly MBS International Airport, is still listed in the database. The Weather Report program has been changed so that I can no longer select it. I can only select the higher level town, Saginaw. The difference I see between 2.24.1 and 2.26.0 is that Weather Report no longer allows one to select a sub-location like it use to. Take San Diego for instance: city !-- A city in California in the United States -- _nameSan Diego/_name coordinates32.715329 -117.157255/coordinates location nameSan Diego International-Lindbergh Field/name codeKSAN/code zoneCAZ043/zone radarlax/radar coordinates32.733611 -117.183056/coordinates /location location nameSan Diego, North Island, Naval Air Station/name codeKNZY/code radarlax/radar coordinates32.690833 -117.208889/coordinates /location location nameMontgomery Field/name codeKMYF/code zoneCAZ043/zone radarlax/radar coordinates32.81 -117.136389/coordinates /location location nameMiramar MCAS / Mitscher Field Airport/name codeKNKX/code zoneCAZ043/zone radarlax/radar coordinates32.868333 -117.142500/coordinates /location location nameSan Diego / El Cajon, Gillespie Field Airport/name codeKSEE/code zoneCAZ050/zone radarlax/radar coordinates32.826111 -116.97/coordinates /location location nameBrown Field Municipal Airport/name codeKSDM/code zoneCAZ050/zone radarlax/radar coordinates32.575278 -116.993056/coordinates /location /city There are SIX airport sub-locations. Weather Report use to be able to let me select which one to use. Now it doesn't give me a choice anymore. I don't know which one it uses now. Likewise for my location, Saginaw: city !-- A city in Michigan in the United States -- _nameSaginaw/_name coordinates43.419470 -83.950807/coordinates location nameSaginaw County H.W. Browne Airport/name codeKHYX/code coordinates43.43 -83.862500/coordinates /location location nameMBS International Airport/name codeKMBS/code zoneMIZ053/zone radarmkg/radar coordinates43.532778 -84.079444/coordinates /location /city There are TWO airport sub-locations. I use to be able to select MBS, which I still can in version 2.24.1 but now in 2.26.0 I can't select it. I know that in 2.24.1 selecting MBS International Airport would give me the forecast and radar map. So, the data that I want is STILL in the database, the program just won't let me select it anymore. Is there anyway that I can revert back to running the 2.24.1 version under Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope)? Thank you for looking into this. Until it became broke I never realized how much I used this applet, and especially the Forecast and Radar Map feature. Sebastien Bacher wrote: how many citizen do you have in your city? Now, whenever there is only one song in the list (either by putting only one song in a playlist, or by choosing an artist you have only one song of), it plays the song and then stops playback, although I expect it to repeat that song endlessly, as it did in Intrepid Ibex (if my memory serves me right). When I deactivate the shuffle, rhythmbox does indeed repeat the song endlessly, as it should. When I turn the shuffle back on, it stops after playing the song once. I think that shuffle should not interfere with repeat function if there is only one song in the list. -- Regards, Simon. [Bug 367895] [NEW] Volume gets reduced on its own for specific window placements
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem 1. Open a video in Totem. 2. Check what level the internal volume control slider of Totem is at. 3. Move the window so that the left / right edge of Totem window touches left / right edge of screen, and bottom edge of Totem window touches bottom of screen / bottom panel. 4. After moving the window to said position, click on Totem's internal volume control slider again. You'll see that volume has reduced on its own. [Bug 367898] [NEW] Seahorse stops responding if incorrect passphrase is entered for PGP key
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: seahorse 1. Open Seahorse (Accessories Password and Encryption Keys). 2. Right click on any PGP key, choose Properties. Click on 'Change Passphrase'. 3. Enter any incorrect passphrase three times. After this, Seahorse password dialog will no longer be displayed. 4. Click on 'Change Passphrase' again. A 'Password' dialog box will be generated, but won't get focus. Click on its taskbar entry to give it focus. 5. Start typing a passphrase - incorrect or correct. 6. Seahorse, password dialog box stops responding. If you have 'Force Quit' button in panel, clicking on it doesn't work. Start gnome-system-monitor to kill the process, and you won't be able to scroll the list. Start a terminal, and you won't be able to type anything. Click on username in notification area to shutdown, and the menu won't be shown. Whole system stops responding. Minimise any other currently running application, then try to maximise them again - you won't be able to. Trying to right click taskbar entry to close an application doesn't show the context menu either. 7. The only thing you _can_ do is to kill using the power switch. I'd tried Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, didnt work. So entering wrong passphrases in Seahorse locks up the whole system. Checked in Ubuntu 8.10, but may exist in 9.04 too. [Bug 34321] Re: should not write the session when changing automatic session saving option
Indeed - I confirm for Ubuntu 9.04. Actually this could be considered as a regression since the option Save the current session is not present anymore in the System/Preferences/Startup Applications/Options. For me the following workaround helped: 1. Close all applications 2. Make sure that the option Automatically remember running applications when logging out is selected in System/Preferences/Startup Applications/Options 3. Logout and login again. 4. Unselect the option Automatically remember running applications when logging out. So the problem is to get an empty session (no applications opened) one has to go through a logout / login cycle with the enabled Automatically remember running applications when logging out option. One way to make this easier would be to put the Save the current session-option back to the options. Or perhaps even better: a Restore clean desktop-button. Easy enough to understand even for new users. -- should not write the session when changing automatic session saving option https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/34321 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 367653] Re: Epiphany browser crashes when adding a bookmark to multiple topics using the checkboxes
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently.
