[Bug 1472607] [NEW] gsettings not sticking for Unity dash search
Public bug reported: I have recently noticed that when going to System Settings Security Privacy Search, and disabling the online search result option: Dash_online_search_settings_off.png (attached) That after a restart, the option has reset back to its default state: Dash_online_search_settings_on.png (attached) So the only workaround that I have found is to put: /bin/bash -c gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Lenses remote-content- search 'none' In the startup applications list. But it would be good if the gsetting could just stick, and as this appears to be a bug with the setting not sticking, I am filing this bug report. [Bug 1406802] Re: Vivid Unity Wallpaper horizontally hashed
@ Martin Wimpress It existed upon first boot after an in-place upgrade to 15.04 It existed upon first boot after a nuke and pave upgrade to 15.04 Try this to reproduce this issue with Ubuntu MATE so you can test it, but it is inconsistent. All you have to do is click around in the wallpaper selector frame. I tried different wallpapers, most of the stock Mate ones seem safe usually. It really hates the default Ubuntu-Mate branded one, AND the one you select after that even if it is a safe one. The second safe one selected seems to work. The wallpaper that worked best for me was a Dalek wallpaper from the BBC I downloaded. Bad news for the Doctor I’m afraid... [Bug 1043740] Re: You need to setup an account is misspelled
Hi, I took a look at this issue. While the upstream bug was closed quite some time ago, a fixed version seems to have landed in Ubuntu only quite recently. The typo is fixed in empathy 3.12.9-1ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 15.04 (see attached screenshot), but it looks like all older releases are still affected. I am not sure what caused the delay, though there was a jump from empathy 3.8 to 3.12 so maybe that explains it. In any case, the bug seems fixed. :) ** Attachment added: set up.png https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/1043740/+attachment/4426404/+files/set%20up.png ** Changed in: empathy (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged = Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1043740 Title: You need to setup an account is misspelled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/empathy/+bug/1043740/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1472792] [NEW] evince does not open with broadway backend
Public bug reported: On Lubuntu 15.04, when trying to open Evince with GTK+ Broadway backend, Evince reports incomplete errors and then ends. In first terminal: $ broadwayd -a 127.0.0.1 -p 8889 :2 Listening on /run/user/1000/broadway3.socket In second terminal: $ GDK_BACKEND=broadway BROADWAY_DISPLAY=:2 evince Unable to init server: Could not connect: Permission denied Cannot parse arguments: Cannot open display: (There is nothing more in the output, program ends.) gtk3-demo or gitg have GUI in a browser as expected. Not sure if related or if it is perhaps expected, but I cannot see the socket file (with sudo or without): $ ls /run/user/1000/broadway3.socket ls: cannot access /run/user/1000/broadway3.socket: No such file or directory ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04 Package: libgtk-3-0 3.14.13-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.19.0-21.21-generic 3.19.8 Uname: Linux 3.19.0-21-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.17.2-0ubuntu1.1 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: LXDE Date: Wed Jul 8 17:13:25 2015 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-02-09 (149 days ago) InstallationMedia: Lubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn - Release amd64 (20141022.1) SourcePackage: gtk+3.0 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to vivid on 2015-05-30 (38 days ago) ** Affects: gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug vivid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+3.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1472792 Title: evince does not open with broadway backend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+3.0/+bug/1472792/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1010421] Re: Text antialiasing is green.....
The workaround in #5 worked for me (Kubuntu 14.04, KDE 4.14.2). I guess I'll have to remember to disable sub-pixel rendering before starting GIMP :( -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gimp in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1010421 Title: Text antialiasing is green.
