Another case when an app is launched from another app eg the camera app
launched from the messaging app.
In this case the camera app crashes when the user goes back to the gallery app
and leave a non functional camera app in the spread for a moment until it
finishes crashing (lp:1533292)

[Bug 1435905] Re: gnome-terminal randomly outputs control characters

2016-01-13 Thread atomi
Similar thing happens when using an escape sequence to change cursor
color ie. echo -ne "\e]12;orange1\a". on Gnome Terminal 3.6.2 (and
RoxTerm too) but only when attached to a tmux session. xterm escape
sequence for cursor colors works with or without tmux.

Attached shows character and 112 sequence occurring in Gnome Terminal
using tmux.

[Bug 1533833] Re: unprivileged lxc containers won't start

2016-01-13 Thread Serge Hallyn
You're using a newer kernel which provides the 'pids' cgroup. Systemd doesn't
know about that one and so doesn't create a cgroup for you that you own. Lxc
in turn (in wily) doesn't yet know how to handle that.

You can work around this several ways. The simplest is to do

sudo cgm create pids user
sudo cgm chown pids user $(id -u) $(id -g)
cgm movepid pids user $$

before you start the container.

[Bug 1314556] Re: Unable to mount Android MTP device

2016-01-13 Thread hackel
I also get this message all the time with my Nexus 5. Typically, I get
the "Unable to mount Android MTP device" error message popping up on my
screen when I plug in my phone, but *not* always. Since I plug/unplug
my phone very often, I typically get 4-5 of these messages hidden behind
windows that I have to clear throughout the day. I haven't been able to
isolate the cause, but for example right at this moment, I am unable to
reproduce it, even though I just had to clear away a stale error
message.

I should also add that it works perfectly with ADB, which is what I
normally use to transfer files, but I can also turn on MTP. Whenever
the phone is plugged-in, it defaults to charging-only mode. I still do
get an icon for it, but clicking on it just shows an empty mtp://
folder. I'm able to "mount"/unmount this device, but the folder stays
empty—not sure that anything is really happening. If I turn on "Use USB
for File transfers" on my device, then the "Internal Storage" icon
appears inside the mtp:// folder and I can browse files normally.

I just want to isolate / eliminate all the useless error messages. Not
sure if this should be split out into a separate bug, since a lot of
people seem to be complaining about lack of MTP functionality entirely.
