[Bug 366408] Re: Documentation inconsistent with behaviour required to move a gnome-panel.
After upgrade to Jaunty I cannot move the panel in any way except for making when they are not expanded automatically (which is not an acceptable workaround). No combinations of mouse clicks, ctrl and/or alt keys held down has been successful. Since this is prevalent on two different machines only after Jaunty-upgrade others ought to be affected by this as well. [Bug 174809] Re: Nautilus using more and more memory (depending on the system up-time)
I just moved around a lot of files between external hard drives, around 400 GB all in all. It took all night, and now I have unmounted all drives and thought I would be able to work as usual, but the system is slow and unresponsive. Nautilus takes up a whopping 1.6 gb resident, and 2.9gb all in all (so 1.3 gb in swap). [Bug 195296] Re: [gutsy] gdm (including gdmsetup) ignores or cannot access gdm.conf-custom
** Description changed: Binary package hint: gdm Symptoms: 1. After running "sudo gdmsetup" any changed settings are instantly forgotten on gdmsetup exit. [Bug 189509] Re: Desktop Appearances Properties crashes repeatedly - gnome-appearance-properties crashed with SIGSEGV in XSetCloseDownMode()
I experience no problems whn gtk-qt-engine is uninstalled. While the program is hung I cannot write "backtrace full" to gdb and a click on the X in the top right corner just produces "Program exited normally." without leaving any "backtracable" stack to look into. ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => New -- Desktop Appearances Properties crashes repeatedly - gnome-appearance-properties crashed with SIGSEGV in XSetCloseDownMode() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/189509 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 112073] Restore from sleep/hibernation no longer works - Regression since Feisty Beta - gdm hangs
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm After working flawlessly in earlier Feisty Betas, the ability to resume from hibernation stopped working close to Feisty release. It started working again sometimes but nowadays a resume never works. I get back into a black screen with a mousepointer displaying the "Thinking" mouse pointer. Every 15 seconds or so the pointer goes away and repositions itself in the middle of the screen. Is GDM constantly restarting? I don't know - because I find no way to troubleshoot it! I cannot access any other terminal (Ctrl + Alt + F#), and Ctrl + Alt + Backspace does nothing... If I press the power button on my laptop it will eventually shutdown (displaying some garbled lines of graphics in the top of the screen before going down all the way). First mentioned in forumthread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=415034 I will attach an output from Alt + SysRq + T (at least the kernel responds...). Please help me specify what else kind of information is needed to track this down. ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Restore from sleep/hibernation no longer works - Regression since Feisty Beta - gdm hangs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112073 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gdm in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
