When I try to play any video on Google Chrome for Linux, any version of 75 or higher, Google Chrome freezes. Chrome 75 will allow sound but no video. All mouse clicks become unresponsive. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1835936] Re: gnome-control-center crash ubuntu 18.04.2
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps: 1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run: ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug. 2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine. Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please send the links to us. 3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921, reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1. Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security risk for yourself. ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1835936 Title: gnome-control-center crash ubuntu 18.04.2 Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Ubuntu 18.04.02 fresh installed on Virtualbox 6.0.8 including Guest Additions on host Mac Pro running 10.14.5 Mojave in April 2019. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1181666] Re: gnome-shell randomly blocks mouse clicks from working in app windows
Hello! I've exactly the same problem. Version: GNOME Shell 3.32.2 But I've found easy workaround solution, then it happens: I just press Super button, and toggle the windows view. After that, the freeze is gone. But it happens more then twice per day for me, so it's kinda annoying. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1181666 Title: gnome-shell randomly blocks mouse clicks from working in app windows Status in GNOME Shell: Confirmed Status in Ubuntu GNOME: Confirmed Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in mutter package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Under GNOME 3, the use of the mouse-click stops occasionally, though I can still move the mouse around and can still click on items in the Activities screen and the top-bar. I can open the alt-f2 "run command" dialogue, but cannot type into it. The workaround I'm using is to open terminal (ctrl-alt-T) and run "gnome-shell -r", and restarting that command every time I have the problem again. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 263505]
*** Bug 1220235 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/263505 Title: Wishlist: add "use input as a search term" to "address not found" page Status in Mozilla Firefox: Confirmed Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: firefox Altogether too often when I get the "Address Not Found" page, it is because I expected too much from the Wonderful Bar or whatever it's called. It would be a useful addition if the "Address Not Found" page could offer the option to use the stuff you typed into the location bar as input for your designated search engine, and/or perform history search on those terms. (For me, the former is the more useful, but I expect both would be handy, and the effort to offer both is probably marginal if you decide to do one or the other.) All to often, what you typed in is no longer visible in the location bar, because http:// gets prepended and sometimes a .com appended to what is displayed in the location bar at the point you get the "Address Not Found" error. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1551623] Re: [SRU] package gconf2 3.2.6-3ubuntu6 failed to install/upgrade: dependency problems - leaving triggers unprocessed
Oh, nice. Maybe then gconf patches won't be needed. (Still need to fix FTBFS in Bionic, bug 1834211.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gconf in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1551623 Title: [SRU] package gconf2 3.2.6-3ubuntu6 failed to install/upgrade: dependency problems - leaving triggers unprocessed Status in gconf package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: [Impact] During system upgrades, triggers for gconf2 might activate too early, while some of its dependencies aren't configured yet. This happens several times in a loop and stops the upgrade in the end. The attached debdiffs fix this issue by changing interest to interest- noawait in debian/gconf2.triggers file. The triggers will now activate near the end of upgrade. In addition, the debdiff for Bionic also contains a fix for FTBFS (bug 1834211). [Test Case] Triggers for gconf2 are usually activated on changes in /usr/share/GConf/gsettings folder, so the main Ubuntu edition (with GNOME) is most suitable for reproducing the issue. To reproduce it, install that edition, apply all updates, then try upgrading to the next release. [Regression Potential] None, interest-noawait trigger is known to work well in other packages (comment 31). [Other Info] Even if Cosmic goes EOL next month, the fix for it might be worth it for release upgrades. [Original Description] When upgrading from 15.10 to 16.04Beta (2016-03-01), this error occured, alongside many others related to systemd and gnome. Notice that despite all warnings and errors, finally, the system remained functional. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1816702] Re: Ubuntu 19.04 - tablet pc won't wake with pen or device buttons (unless keyboard attached)

This is [most] likely device specific & is very MINOR. It woke perfectly when keyboard/stand was attached, but not with the device's arrow keys, button, or any on screen mouse movement (using pen, including pen button). If the device dimmed screen with onscreen keyboard no longer visible, and I couldn't wake it. The result was you had to connect keyboard/stand in order to wake device...
