Title:
Black screen (with clock) after waking the display

Status in “gnome-screensaver” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
When the display sleeps due to idle time (or running `gnome-
screensaver-command -a`), if I move the mouse slightly it wakes up to
a black screen with the clock on the top right. In this black screen
I need to move the mouse again or press a key in order for the desktop
to be shown. This occurs with the lock screen when idle option
  disabled.

  *Steps to reproduce*

Disable lock when idle. Let the display go to sleep (or `gnome-
screensaver-command -a`). Move the mouse pointer slightly. The display
should wake up, but instead of showing the desktop it shows a black
screen (reminiscent of the lock screen?).

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1303999] Re: After unlocking, desktop is shown then screen goes black for about five seconds

2014-04-08 Thread Ephraim
it's like the screensaver doesn't work in the lock screen but wants to black
the screen anyway.
So after the lockscreen is done (unlocked again), the screensaver remembers
that it should have blacked the screen and does it then. After hitting a key,
the screen comes back normaly. You haven't to wait.
My graphic:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core
Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)

So not NVIDIA specific.

Cheers,
Thilo

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 294795] Re: Per-process network usage information (Integrate nethogs functionality?)

I find it very handy to have nethogs, but i would be much nicer to see
it integrated into gnome-system-monitor and it would be more recent than
having a commandline tool.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 818852] Re: X cursor often not shown

2012-03-28 Thread Ephraim
Hey,

I see that bug in lightdm 1.1.9 and lightdm-gtk-greeter 1.1.4 on an arm board.
Of course there is no grub as it is booted via uboot.
So what exactly was the fix for this? Or what exactly was the problem so I can
look for similar problems here?

Ciao
Ephraim
