[Desktop-packages] [Bug 2007652] Re: [snap] PWA don't launch as applications, just another chromium window

2023-04-11 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
I am also affected by this bug. This is my personal last barrier to
switch over to chromium from chrome. As I make heavy use of PWAs for
example for microsoft and google products plus community projects like
exalidraw.

  [snap] PWA don't launch as applications, just another chromium window

Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I have recently converted from deb to snap package of chromium and
  progressive web applications (PWAs) launch just as another window of
  chromium and are not recognized as separate application by the window
  manager (for example when switching using Super+Tab) or dock (grouped
  under chromium windows).

  This is either a regression of the snap package vs deb or ubuntu 20.04
  vs ubuntu 18.04 (I am not able to differentiate between these two
  since both happened together).

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1922353] Re: Overview sometimes fails to appear or disappear in 21.04

2021-05-11 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
I am a bit unsure if I am experiencing the same error with gnome shell
in 21.04 because the bug description is a bit vaque...

Anyhow since 21.04 sometimes after I pressed the app grid button (or
super+A) the panel, the dock and everything else EXCEPT the window
previews in the overview disappear. Since I am running in Xorg I can
restart the shell with alt+f2->r but still this looks like a kind of big
issue, imagining people using 21.04 are starting in wayland.

  running applications (like alt-tab) and a text window appears. I can
  choose from the running applications or write a command into the text
  window. After I chose an application or press ESC all this disappear
  and I can do my thing.

  Since trying 21.04 sometimes this
  1. does not appear properly - there is no visible text window
  2. does not disappear - despite what I click on or what keys do I press this
never disappear so I can not use my running applications or start anything new
even from the menu.

  I have to log out and in to break this.

  Disabling my gnome-shell extensions or using xorg instead of wayland
  does not helps.

  Since upgrading this morning this happens every time I press Super,
  not just occasionally, thus making my desktop unusable.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1889991] Re: Highlight for the task switcher is too subtle

2020-10-20 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
IMO it is perfectly visible as it is (20.04 + 20.10)
We could make it orange, but this is something that we try to avoid, since the
ubuntu orange has some "burning" character that can become annoying. Also the
grey is a design change that we've successfully ported to upstream. If no one
disagrees I will would like to close this here, as we do not plan to change
this and we simply disagree that this is not visible enough.

Title:
  Highlight for the task switcher is too subtle

Status in yaru-theme package in Ubuntu:
  Opinion

Bug description:
  The task switcher has a highlight to enable the user to see which task
  has focus. In Ubuntu 20.04 (but not earlier versions, I think) this
  highlight is so subtle that one can easily miss it.

  I'm all for subtlety, but this is *too* subtle. I find myself
  repeatedly choosing the wrong task.

  My vision is not perfect but decent. Users with poor vision may find
  this problem particularly difficult.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1873346] Re: Remove the grey border/background from the Files (nautilus) icon

This is not planed to be fixed unless explicitly wanted by the Ubuntu Design
team.
We need to maintain a unified look of the yaru icon theme, by using modified
icon guidelines of Suru.

Actually we (yaru + didier) agreed that this is not wanted by upstream
and not wanted by the ubuntu design team. The branding already present
in the login screen, boot screen and start up experience is enough.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1842886] Re: Yaru-dark shell menus and dialogs are not dark

2020-10-20 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
This is not a yaru bug.
gnome-shell (system) does currently not allow to switch the shell themes on the
fly or alongside with gtk3 (applications).
If Ubuntu does not downstream patch this, users have to rely on the user-themes
extension, where a yaru-dark shell (system menus) theme can be selected.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1899731] [NEW] Yaru gtk and icon update for focal backported from groovy

2020-10-13 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
Public bug reported:

[Impact]

 * Focal users will soon have their yaru themes mismatched in snaps and
debs

 * yaru-theme-gtk and yaru-theme-icon includes changes for button sizes
in groovy, gtk-common-themes will be updated with the updated yaru-
theme-gtk so groovies debs and snaps look consistent but this will leave
focal deb and snaps incosistent, so focals debs also need an update.

 * Backporting the yaru gtk theme from groovy to focal will fix this, the SHELL
theme (yaru-theme-gnome-shell) however should NOT be backported, because the
gnome shell version is different and thus the JavaScript components of
gnome-shell would then not match the theme any more. The icon theme however,
can also be backported if wanted

[Test Case]

 * Update gtk-common-themes from
https://gitlab.gnome.org/Community/Ubuntu/gtk-common-
themes/-/jobs/937763/artifacts/browse in focal and see how gtk debs like
nautilus look different in button sizing than snap-store aka ubuntu
software

* install the https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/releases/tag/20.10.6.1 and
see how now the deb and snaps look the same

[Regression Potential]

 * no regression potential unless the gnome shell theme is also
backported which should NOT happen

[Other Info]

 * The updates were necessary for groovy, because having gtk3 themes with
different button sizes than adwaita creates issues with sizes, see
https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2361 for further issues linked

** Affects: yaru-theme (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1862070] Re: Firefox bookmark separator is difficult to see in Yaru Dark

This is rather a problem with firefox than with yaru.
We can't change the whole selected_bg_color for the dark theme to be brighter,

Title:
  Ubiquity icon is misleading and not very well executed

Status in yaru-theme package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  The visual metaphor for the current Ubiquity icon caused some
  confusion (e.g., see https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2020/03/ubuntu-
  installer-icon-strange). Also, IMO, the design with lots of small
  particles doesn't map well to the Yaru icon style, which requires an
  outline at smaller sizes. The upshot of this is that neither the idea
  nor the execution are universally popular.

  Over on the Yaru side, we've just merged a new design into Master,
  which hopefully makes it clearer that the icon writes Ubuntu to hard
  disk: https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2340.

  This "bug" could be fixed by backporting the new icon to Focal Fossa
  before 20.04.02 - are we able to proceed?

  Thank you!

  EDIT:

  1) Version of Ubuntu = 20.04 and 20.04.01 live disk

  2) N/A

  3) Expected a clear and well-executed icon for the installer when
  using the live disk

  4) Got the current icon which (see above) is sub-optimal.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1887393] [NEW] The system-lock-screen icon has a twisted/deformed path

2020-07-13 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
Public bug reported:

[Impact]

 * The lock icon in gnome-control-center privacy page has a twisted path
in it's key-hole

 * Backporting this to focal, would greatly increase the level of visual
polish and increase the professional look of the ubuntu desktop and the
yaru icon theme

 * The fix is already in the yaru master branch:
https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/issues/2201

[Test Case]

 * Open gnome-control-center, AKA "settings" from either clicking on the
wheel icon in the gnome shell system tray popup or by searching for
"settings" from within the gnome shell search. Scroll until you see the
privacy section. Look at the lock icon and see the twisted path of the
key whole

 * Build yaru from master, open gnome-control-center, AKA "settings"
from either clicking on the wheel icon in the gnome shell system tray
popup or by searching for "settings" from within the gnome shell search.
Scroll until you see the privacy section. Look at the lock icon and see
that the path of the key-hole is now an even square

[Regression Potential]

 * No regression potential, tested by building the branch in the pull
request

[Other Info]

 * Link to the github issue: https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/issues/2201

** Affects: yaru-theme (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1887389] [NEW] Microphone icon outlines can look fuzzy on certain screens

2020-07-13 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
Public bug reported:

[Impact]

 * The microphone icon only consists of small outlines which are very
close to each other, making the icon look fuzzy and hard to understand,
especially on screens with high sharpness

 * Backporting this to focal would greatly improve the visibility and
legibility of the microphone icon and thus help to improve the overall
look of the ubuntu desktop in focal

 * The fix is already in ubuntu master:
https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2200

[Test Case]

 * If your computer does not have an integrated microphone, connect an external
microphone to your computer and see how it shows up in the gnome-shell top
panel. Increase the sharpness of your display until the icon becomes fuzzy and
hard to understand
* Build yaru from master and if your computer does not have an integrated
microphone, connect an external microphone to your computer and see how it
shows up in the gnome-shell top panel. Increase the sharpness of your display
and watch how the icon stays sharp and "intact" even with high sharpness

[Regression Potential]

 * No regression potential, tested by building the branch of the pull
request

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1887388] [NEW] Several mimetype icons are missing

2020-07-13 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
Public bug reported:

[Impact]

 * Many mimetype icons are not showing up in yaru, even if they have
been included in the yaru theme suite and some mimetype icons are were
not included previously

 * Backporting them to focal would greatly increase the differentiation
of the file types that are existent for the average user

 * All those fixes are already in yaru master:
- img and iso https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2213
- Lilypond https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2230
- QML https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2226
- log files https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2229
- arduino, jpynbgjson, mswinurl, cursor https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2234

- lmms https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2249
- theme files https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2243
- rss https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2248
- executable https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2204
- apple images https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2233

[Test Case]

 * open nautilus and look at img and iso, Lilypond, QML, log files,
arduino, scala, lmms, theme, rss, executable, apple files and notice how
they all have either a generic text file as their mimetype icon or the
wrong mimetype icon

 * install yaru master branch and open nautilus and look at img and iso,
Lilypond, QML, log files, arduino, scala, lmms, theme, rss, executable,

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1887383] [NEW] Yaru updates not related to themes and icons

2020-07-13 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
Public bug reported:

[Impact]

 * Several parts of the build, including the yaru README and github actions to
stay synced with upstream, are out of date and need updates.
Those changes are:
- fix Yaru project name + update README pictures
- build: deduplicate meson.build and introduce Flavours
https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/1884
- add libgtk-3-dev to the bootstrap script
https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/
- updates to the upstream directories, which include the source code of the
unmodified upstream gnome-shell and gtk3 themes
https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2084
- Use MESON_INSTALL_DESTDIR_PREFIX in post_install.py to avoid errors while
building https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2206
- Check for updates to GitHub Actions every weekday
https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2223

 * Backporting these updates to focal, will greatly improve the build process
of the yaru project and help to avoid bugs and help the development of the team

 * all fixes are in yaru master since several weeks and have been tested
several times

[Test Case]

 * Look at the yaru project page while in this branch
https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/tree/ubuntu/focal and find the images to be
removed
* Look at the yaru project page while in the master branch
https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/tree/master and find all images to show what
currently is in focal
* All other test cases are described in the corresponding pull requests

[Regression Potential]

 * Outdated versions of meson may clash with the current yaru build,
otherwise, no regression potential

[Other Info]

 * Those changes are not "visible" for the end-user while using the ubuntu
desktop, i.e. no theme changes, no icon changes here, but they greatly improve
the daily work of the yaru team

** Affects: yaru-theme (Ubuntu)

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1887300] [NEW] Wacom overlay text labels are invisible

2020-07-12 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
Public bug reported:

https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/issues/2099

[Impact]

 * The wacom overlay text is invisible and users can not use this gnome-
shell dialog to map their wacom tablet hardware buttons

 * Backporting this to the stable release focal will let wacom users use
this dialogue again, which is very important because you have no other
way to map it in ubuntu

 * The fix is already in yaru master https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2198

[Test Case]

 * Plug a wacom tablet to your computer, search for "wacom" in the gnome
shell search and press enter to open the corresponding gnome-control-
center page. Now open the dialog to map your buttons. See how the labels
for each button are invisible

 * Build yaru from master and repeat these steps and see how the labels
appear and you can properly map the correct button

[Regression Potential]

 * No regression potential

 * Built and tested with the yaru master branch

[Other Info]

 * Yaru issue: https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/issues/2099
* yaru fix: https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2198

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1887297] [NEW] gnome-shell notifications and gtk3 menus are hard to distinguish from the background

2020-07-12 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
Public bug reported:

[Impact]

 * Gtk and shell menus, popups and notifications are often hard to
distinguish against the elements that are beneath them (Yaru github
bugs: https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/issues/2221 and
https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/issues/2217)

 * backporting this QOL change to focal would greatly improve the
legibility of the yaru theme(s)

 * the fixes for this are already in the master branch of
https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru

[Test Case]

 * populate gtk3 menus against a nautilus window and spawn a
notification by either adding or removing a favourite app in the dock
with rightclick add/remove favourite. Gtk3 menus almost look like they
are part of the window and not a different part of the desktop.
Notifications, especially when using yaru-light are also hard to see and
recognize

[Regression Potential]

 * No regression potential

 * Tested by building the fixed branch(es) of yaru and then switching
back and forth the gtk3 and shell themes, please see the corresponding
github pull requests https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/2232 +

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1862056] Re: Theme: use other exported colors

2020-02-11 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
Here is the MR: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-
software/merge_requests/421

--
You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop
Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1862056

Title:
  Theme: use other exported colors

Status in gnome-software package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Adwaita and Yaru both export colors at the top of their CSS file from within
this source files:

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/blob/master/gtk/theme/Adwaita/_colors-public.scss#L84

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/blob/gtk-3-24/gtk/theme/Adwaita/_colors-public.scss

  gnome-software uses some of those colors in their in-app CSS that overwrites
the global gtk theme:
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/blob/master/src/gtk-style.css

  Most likely those are the correct colors. In three cases sadly not and
  it is too late to get an upstream change for 20.04 now because gnome
  is already in UI freeze for this cycle:

  1) The round checkmarks inside the App boxes that show that the app is
  installed are orange instead of green, which is semantically wrong
  since they are not selected and should instead show that you
  successfully installed that app:

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/blob/master/src/gtk-style.css#L12
  Change
  .installed-icon {
color: @theme_selected_bg_color;
  }
  to
  .installed-icon {
color: @success_color;
  }

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/blob/gtk-3-24/gtk/theme/Adwaita/_colors-public.scss#L84
  -> exported to:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/blob/gtk-3-24/gtk/theme/Adwaita/gtk-contained.css#L2021

  2) The little [1] boxes inside the "stackswitcher" in the headerbar (it's
actually a buttonbox in this case, but this is offtopic) that show up if you
are either installing X apps or have X updates would be orange, if we would not
"hack" a bg box-shadow over them to make them green. This is first of all a
dirty hack and secondly there are little orange pixels showing up at the
rounding
  Change
  .counter-label {
...
...
background-color: mix(@theme_selected_bg_color,
@theme_selected_fg_color, 0.3);
...
...
...
  }

  To
  .counter-label {
...
...
background-color: @success_color;
...
...
...

  3) The "given" stars are not visible in both Adwaita and Yaru dark. For some
reason, upstream transparentizes them into oblivion with the "shade-function".
The enabled stars should just use the theme's fg color:
  Change
  .star-enabled,
  .star-enabled:disabled {
color: shade(@theme_fg_color, 0.8);
  }
  to
  .star-enabled,
  .star-enabled:disabled {
color: @theme_fg_color;
  }

  Thank you very much in advance! I try to get this into gnome-shell's
  upstream repo in the next cycle

  Theme: use other exported colors

Status in gnome-software package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Adwaita and Yaru both export colors at the top of their CSS file from within
this source files:

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/blob/master/gtk/theme/Adwaita/_colors-public.scss#L84

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/blob/gtk-3-24/gtk/theme/Adwaita/_colors-public.scss

  gnome-software uses some of those colors in their in-app CSS that overwrites
the global gtk theme:
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/blob/master/src/gtk-style.css

  Most likely those are the correct colors. In three cases sadly not and
  it is too late to get an upstream change for 20.04 now because gnome
  is already in UI freeze for this cycle:

  1) The round checkmarks inside the App boxes that show that the app is
  installed are orange instead of green, which is semantically wrong
  since they are not selected and should instead show that you
  successfully installed that app:

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/blob/master/src/gtk-style.css#L12
  Change
  .installed-icon {

  -> exported to:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/blob/gtk-3-24/gtk/theme/Adwaita/gtk-contained.css#L2021

This is first of all a
dirty hack and secondly there are little orange pixels showing up at the
rounding
  Change
  .counter-label {
...
...
background-color: mix(@theme_selected_bg_color,
@theme_selected_fg_color, 0.3);
...
...
...
  }

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1862056] [NEW] Theme: use other exported colors

2020-02-05 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
Public bug reported:

Adwaita and Yaru both export colors at the top of their CSS file from within
this source files:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/blob/master/gtk/theme/Adwaita/_colors-public.scss#L84
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/blob/gtk-3-24/gtk/theme/Adwaita/_colors-public.scss

gnome-software uses some of those colors in their in-app CSS that overwrites
the global gtk theme:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/blob/master/src/gtk-style.css

Most likely those are the correct colors. In three cases sadly not and
it is too late to get an upstream change for 20.04 now because gnome is
already in UI freeze for this cycle:

There is one problem with colibre: it doesn't work with dark themes :/

Whereas breeze has a dark and a light variant for yaru and yaru dark

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1827948] Re: Use libreoffice-style-breeze as the default icon theme

2019-05-26 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
Both breeze and colibre would be a great improvement over the elementary icons,
in terms of consistency.
If colibre fits you more due to it's colors, I would also +1 this decision, to
get rid of those eOS 3d icons, that really don't fit at all to the Yaru
symbolic icon set.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1794942] [NEW] UIF exception: GtkPopover, GtkMenu and GtkSwitch styling

2018-09-28 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
Public bug reported:

We would like to adapt the styling of GtkPopover and GtkMenu to the
styling of GNOME shell popups in the yaru theme.

Reasoning why this is necessary:

1) The current Yaru theme has three different menu colors: a) in the light yaru
gtk theme with light menus/popovers, b) in the dark yaru gtk theme with gray
menus/popovers and c) in the only gnome shell yaru theme with almost black
("jet") popups
This argument was found in a request by matthewpaulthomas
(https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/issues/847)

2) This would make the transition for Ubuntu users more smooth when
their desktop changes from ambiance to yaru because the ambiance menus
were dark even if - or basically because - the ambiance window styling
was light resulting in ...

3) A usability improvement due to a better contrast for the light yaru
gtk theme between almost black menus and almost white windows and also
for the dark theme, between gray windows and almost black menus

2) and 3) were found in a request by marco trevisian, which appreciated
the usability of the Ambiance menus

A before/after picture is attached to this bug, but more pictures can be found
in the github pull request:
https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/876

Also, we would like to include a fix into cosmic, which changes the colors of
GtkSwitch in the yaru dark theme in the backdrop (when the window is not
focused)
https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/874

This is a bug fix because we have forgotten to style the switches
correctly.

Title:
  UIF exception: GtkPopover, GtkMenu and GtkSwitch styling

Status in yaru-theme package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  We would like to adapt the styling of GtkPopover and GtkMenu to the
  styling of GNOME shell popups in the yaru theme.

  Reasoning why this is necessary:

  1) The current Yaru theme has three different menu colors: a) in the light
yaru gtk theme with light menus/popovers, b) in the dark yaru gtk theme with
gray menus/popovers and c) in the only gnome shell yaru theme with almost black
("jet") popups
  This argument was found in a request by matthewpaulthomas
(https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/issues/847)

  2) This would make the transition for Ubuntu users more smooth when
  their desktop changes from ambiance to yaru because the ambiance menus
  were dark even if - or basically because - the ambiance window styling
  was light resulting in ...

  3) A usability improvement due to a better contrast for the light yaru
  gtk theme between almost black menus and almost white windows and also
  for the dark theme, between gray windows and almost black menus

  2) and 3) were found in a request by marco trevisian, which
  appreciated the usability of the Ambiance menus

  A before/after picture is attached to this bug, but more pictures can be
found in the github pull request:
  https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/876

  Also, we would like to include a fix into cosmic, which changes the colors of
GtkSwitch in the yaru dark theme in the backdrop (when the window is not
focused)
  https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/pull/874

  This is a bug fix because we have forgotten to style the switches
  correctly.

Bug description:
  Immediately after login (I enter the password and hit enter) the screen
"crumbles" for few seconds, then all becomes normal and the system works fine.
I have done apt update+upgrade many times, also with proposed enabled, I have
also installed a new ISO (now i'm using the Alpha dated 20180305) but the
problem remains. The problem happens with the x11 session but not with wayland.
  Also problem does not show with different hardware.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1748429] Re: Librroffice Snap uses the adwaita gtk theme and direct path to icon

2018-02-09 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
GTK Community theme (https://github.com/Ubuntu/gtk-communitheme)- I see
- changing to ambiance did the trick. Now the snap uses the ambiance gtk
theme.

The theme matching works only for ambiance?

___

Regarding the icons, most debs - if not all - use the free desktop spec.
And it works very well with Humanity icon set (which inherits hicolor
in it's index) 99% of the apps work with relative icon paths, even if
they are snaps. (this is just a user impression, I got no deeper
understanding of how this works)

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1572881] [NEW] sudo gedit and gedit open two different (looking) gedit's

2016-04-21 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
Public bug reported:

One instance of gedit looks great and polished with Ubuntu top bar that is the
one you can open normally via .desktop file or "gedit" in the terminal.
But when you "sudo gedit" in the terminal a second instance of gedit opens
(which is Ok since one is with sudo and one without) but the sudo gedit
instance has the old gnome top bar with the strange looking close and minimize
buttons

** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1570231] [NEW] Rhythmbox does not play music in 16.04 beta

2016-04-14 Thread Frederik Feichtmeier
Public bug reported:

When I start rhythmbox normally outside of the terminal, it just does not play
the mp3.
When I open a mp3 file in rhythmbox with the terminal this is happening:

frederik@akira:~$ rhythmbox /home/frederik/Musik/AMOK/01\ Before\ Your\
Very\ Eyesmp3

(rhythmbox:3379): Gtk-WARNING **: Duplicate child name in GtkStack: Zur
Wiedergabeliste hinzufügen
(rhythmbox:3379): Gtk-WARNING **: Duplicate child name in GtkStack: Zur

(rhythmbox:3379): Gtk-WARNING **: Duplicate child name in GtkStack: Zur
Wiedergabeliste hinzufügen
(rhythmbox:3379): Gtk-WARNING **: Duplicate child name in GtkStack: Zur
Wiedergabeliste hinzufügen

Then I return to the rhythmbox window and click the play button and this
is happening in the terminal:

(rhythmbox:3379): Rhythmbox-CRITICAL **: impl_play: assertion
'mp->priv->playbin != NULL' failed
Gtk-Message: GtkDialog mapped without a transient parent. This is discouraged.

So rhythmbox can't play mp3's and can't import my music library due to this
error I believe.
Ubuntu 16.04. beta2 and a fresh install
