[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1594042] Re: Add samba-common as recomends for pcmanfm

2016-12-04 Thread LStranger
Thank you very much for a suggestion. The samba-common package is
already suggested by gvfs-backends package (which is recommended by
pcmanfm). May be that dependency should be raised from suggested to
recommended.

** Also affects: gvfs (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
   Status: New

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 889059] Re: Firefox enforces middlemouse.contentLoadURL to false.

2011-11-29 Thread LStranger
The bug is still present in 8.0+build1-0ubuntu0.11.10.3 version of
package. Fixed it by downgrading to 4.0+nobinonly-0ubuntu3 - that is the
newest version that is still works. Will you fix it or not?

  Firefox enforces middlemouse.contentLoadURL to false.

Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  When I've upgraded my ubuntu and got firefox 7.0.1 I've unexpectedly
  lost the possibility to paste URLs directly into browser window. That
  possibility is more than very useful as I don't have to do lot of
  things - exactly to load some URL into current non-empty tab I have
  to: 1) select URL; 2) press Ctrl+C; 3) click on URL line in browser;
  4) select all in there; 5) press Ctrl+V; 6) press 'Enter'. With that
  possibility it's very-very simple: 1) select URL; 2) middle-click in
  browser window - yes, that's all. And now I cannot do that because
  config variable middlemouse.contentLoadURL changed it's default to
  false (and I think it's ubuntu-specific default, the same version
  7.0.1 in debian-testing have it true as it always been) and it's even
  worse - even when I open about:config and toggle it, it works as it
  should be but as soon I close firefox and start it again that value is
  reset to false again and that means I should set it manually each time
  I start firefox! I've fixed that weird bug by downgrading firefox to
  version from natty. Fix it back, please!

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 888283] [NEW] Printing from LibreOffice is broken.

2011-11-09 Thread LStranger
Public bug reported:

I've upgraded my local server from 9.10 to 11.10 and another workstation from
11.04 to 11.10 and unexpectedly printing from LibreOffice was broken. Printing
from other sources (i've tried Firefox and Leafpad) works fine.
I have printer HP LaserJet P1005 with foo2xqx driver, firmare was downloaded by
getweb means.
How it can be reproduced:
1) open LibreOffice Writer;
2) choose font 'Times New Roman' or 'Ubuntu';
3) enter the text below:
Проверка
Йцук
енгш
4) print it;
5) printed text is:
Проверка
ЙцПк
еППП
or something alike that. Wrong letters seems to come randomly in printed text.
If you choose such font as 'Nimbus Roman No9 L' then everything is printed well
enough. Unfortunately upgraded ubuntu 11.10 does not allow me to start cupsd
from 9.10 distro, it fails to start completely so only hope is to get it fixed.
