[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1652737] [NEW] Overriden by GNOME screen saver after recent upgrade
Public bug reported: I use XFCE solely. After a recent upgrade, xscreensaver is no longer run in my system. Instead it seems GNOME screensaver is run. When I run the XFCE screensaver settings dialog it complains that the GNOME screensaver daemon appears to be running and that it must be stopped for XScreenSaver to work properly. Interestingly if I stop it, and later say I want XScreenSaver to be launched (it says it seems it isn't running), the dialog freezes and an error pops up. Afterwards if I close the settings dialog and open it again it complains of exactly the same things (GNOME Screensaver daemon running, XScreenSaver not running). I'm running Xenial with XFCE and XScreenSaver is version 5.34-2ubuntu1. Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1652287] Re: dpkg-reconfigure hunspell-es doesn't ask you the default language
This is not possible to me. I need C.UTF-8 or en_US.UTF-8 locale, but want Spanish dictionaries by default. If you wonder why we have many scripts that depend on English (or C) locale but they don't use dictionaries so it's not a problem if I set them to Spanish (which is what I would wish I could). One option is setting all locales each time I run one of those internal scripts, but I don't want to risk forgetting, for the time being. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1355554] [NEW] Most Rhythmbox keyboard shortcuts do not work in ver. 3.0
Public bug reported: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Rhythmbox 2. Press Ctrl+space, Alt+left or Alt+right Actual results: Pressing the avobe keyboard shortcuts has no effect Expected results: Ctrl+space should play/pause the music playback; Alt+left and Alt+right should go to te previows and next track, respectively. I've tried this on various Ubuntu 14.04 installations, including a fresh one. I'm using rhythmbox 3.0.2. I guess it's related to version 3.0, because this doesn't happen using Ubuntu 12.04, which includes version 2.96. Other convinations like ctrl+up/down to increase and decrease the playback volume do work; and if I press ctrl+P it plays/pauses (altough the convination should be ctrl+space). [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1349152] [NEW] Enhanced Zoom Desktop does not zoom In/Out when mouse is over a windows without focus
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. Open CCSM and enable the Enhanced Zoom Desktop plugin under the Accessibility section, and set the zoom in and zoom out shortcuts. 2. Open two different applications, e.g. gedit and nautilus, and move them so they are both visible. 3. Click under gedit to gave it the focus, them move the mouse under nautilus and try to zoom in/out. What occurs: Neither Zoom In nor Zoom Out actions are performed. What was expected: The zoom in/out actions should work as occurs when the mouse is under the current application's area I've noticed the desktop environment or Ubuntu version do not affect this behaviour, I've tested under Unity, Gnome Flashback and Mate; using Ubuntu 12.04, 13.04 and 14.04; with the same results. I've also noticed it's not possible to zoom in/out over a panel of gnome-panel, I think it's caused by this bug, due to the gnome-panel never get focus.
