was it working with the snap before we removed the removable-media
interface?

Yes. All was ok.

what type of device is used and how is it mounted?

A partition in another hard drive. I have an ssd with ubuntu and w10 and
another hard drive with two partitions in ntfs (data and backup).

The data partition was configurated by disk app of ubuntu. Mount at

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1903755] Re: thunderbird 78.4.1 snap connection missing

2020-11-10 Thread Pablo Alvarez
Yes. The partition is mounted on startup.

I can access to data in this partition, create folders, files, remove
documents etc.

I have a profile for firefox in this ntfs partition and no problem to
load.

Eventualy i install thunderbird manually to work with email, and cero
problem loading this profile.

With this installation in manual i can create a new profile in this
partition because when launch thunderbird -p, and follow the steps to
create a new profile i can do this in this partition.

With snap installation i can't do this because thunderbird can't access
to this ntfs file system.
