Title:
scrolling unfocus libreoffice calc window, contents are not refreshed
  properly

Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit, Asus i3, LibreOffice Calc 4.2.3.3, 21 April 2014:

Open LibreOffice Calc side by side. Pleasantly surprised, in Ubuntu
14.04 we can scroll the content of unfocused Calc window without first
clicking it focus, just hover the cursor over it and scross the mouse
scroller. However the content of the scrolled window IS NOT PROPERLY
REFRESHED. Content scroll, but two or tree lines of all content are
still showing, hence we have repeating contents in the unfocused
windows. It takes clicking the unfocused window to focus, scroll the
window slide scroller, than the content will refresh properly again.

Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1311980] Re: content of the scrolled window IS NOT PROPERLY REFRESHED

2015-10-06 Thread Tora Kuat
I have NOT been encountering this issue anymore in 15.04 (not properly
refreshing content in unfocused window while scrolling using mouse wheel).

Since 14.04 through 15.04 there are on and off another bug I reported in
the same time span with captioned bug. Which is, when you click resize or
maximize button:

A) Window is not maximizing inspite maximizing button is pressed.

B) Window losing its header when you push the maximize button, in this
stage you can not find minimize, close or maximize buttons anymore. You can
only get those buttons reappearing again after ctrl+left or +right.

C) Over the years since reporting, I have been noticing this bug
disappearing and reappearing with each Ubuntu Kernel update.

Regular updating. By September 6, 2014, error returns. At the end all
this error reporting does not matter I guess. Just accept one's fate.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1311980] Re: content of the scrolled window IS NOT PROPERLY REFRESHED

2014-05-07 Thread Tora Kuat
Thank you for confirming.

There are two erratic conditions reported in this bug:

1. Unfocused window is not refreshed properly (garbage repeated content)
when scrolled over by a mouse.

2. One window just suddenly minimized to a bare strip or 10 x 50 mm
miniscule window.

Apparently the second bug happens with Open Office Libre (Calc, Writer),
Firefox, Thunderbird. Hence it is maybe a problem having something to do
with Window management rather than Open Office.

Reported (for Firefox incident) in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1311983

Please kindly forward this to (a) person(s) with competence, as it is
beyond my competence to identify which package is affected and how to
reproduce. It does occur a few times daily if you use them though.

Title:
content of the scrolled window IS NOT PROPERLY REFRESHED

Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1311983] Re: firefox window suddenly resize to about 10x100 mm to upperleft screen corner

2014-05-07 Thread Tora Kuat
This bug happens for me since fresh install on daily basis. I am
experiencing it (Window suddenly vanishes into a fine strip, resizeable
though, if you by luck detect the fine strip, OR Window just minimized
into incomplete window (no correct header) the size of 10 x 100 mm).

I am experiencing it NOT ONLY with FireFox, but also Libre Office,
Thunderbird windows.

I am experiencing it SEVERAL TIMES ON DAILY BASIS. It affects usability,
when you work and the window just vanish. It is unimaginable if you make
presentation in front of public and this thing happens on promoted
Ubuntu.

I have not found out, what action leads to this bugs. I suspect
something corrupt in windows management.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1317340] [NEW] NEW LibreOffice Calc window opened from another Calc Window opens an abnormal window

2014-05-07 Thread Tora Kuat
Public bug reported:

If we have opened LibreOffice Calc window, and want to open ANOTHER NEW
LibreOffice Spreadsheet (File, New, Spreadsheet), then the opened window
will be improper: Not heaving a proper header, hence not being able to
be grabbed by pointer. You could use Ctrl+Alt+Right to move resize
window, than it is normal again (meaning: It has header and can be
grabbed, resize etc).

It is reproducible every time. But it maybe not the problem of
LibreOffice, but Ubuntu (Gnome) Window management). See also bug

Sorry Ctr+Alt+Right should read Ctrl+Super+Right. Anway the new window
can not be grabbed, resize or whatever, except after first using

content of the scrolled window IS NOT PROPERLY REFRESHED

Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit, Asus i3, LibreOffice Calc 4.2.3.3, 21 April 2014:

Open LibreOffice Calc side by side. Pleasantly surprised, in Ubuntu
14.04 we can scroll the content of unfocused Calc window without first
clicking it focus, just hover the cursor over it and scross the mouse
scroller. However the content of the scrolled window IS NOT PROPERLY
REFRESHED. Content scroll, but two or tree lines of all content are
still showing, hence we have repeating contents in the unfocused

window slide scroller, than the content will refresh properly again.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1311980] Re: content of the scrolled window IS NOT PROPERLY REFRESHED

2014-04-25 Thread Tora Kuat
Additional bug:

When open side by side two LibreOffice Calc windows, each of different
file, it happened to me, this is the second time. One of the window just
disappear nowhere to find. Two dots are still showing on the launcher,
but one window is nowhere to find. On first occurence it was far worse,
suddenly both windows is nowhere to find. Close and reopen shows no
windows, but dots on the launcer. In first occurence I went to the
Ubuntu Software Center, download Libre Office Suite. Then I can 'see'
the windows again.

I can not reproduce, when or how it happens. Anyway, this is the second
time.

Screen shot will follow.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1311983] [NEW] firefox window suddenly resize to about 10x100 mm to upperleft screen corner

2014-04-23 Thread Tora Kuat
Public bug reported:

While browsing with Firefox, for UNKNOWN REASON, suddenly resize to
about 10x100 mm aligned to upper left corner of the screen. Grabbing is
not possible, resizing is possible using Shift+Ctrl+Left Arrow
short cut.

In other instance it suddenly maximize to whole screen, the left side is
behind the unity dash column and can not be accessed by mouse / cursor.
Resizing using Shift+Ctrl+Left Arrow is possible. Back to normal
from there.

What activities lead to this anormality is not clear to me.

Title:
firefox window suddenly resize to about 10x100 mm to upperleft screen
  corner

Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
While browsing with Firefox, for UNKNOWN REASON, suddenly resize to
about 10x100 mm aligned to upper left corner of the screen. Grabbing
is not possible, resizing is possible using Shift+Ctrl+Left
  Arrow short cut.

In other instance it suddenly maximize to whole screen, the left side
is behind the unity dash column and can not be accessed by mouse /
cursor. Resizing using Shift+Ctrl+Left Arrow is possible. Back
  to normal from there.

What activities lead to this anormality is not clear to me.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 995074] Re: Can't print from Evince/Document Viewer HP 4215

2013-05-23 Thread Tora Kuat
I am also experiencing it just recently. Have been using Ubuntu since
9.04. It works fine. With Ubuntu 12.10 and 13.04 first it takes quite
some time for Document View to show up. Most unwanted, is that it won't
print more than 1 pages. Print one page, fine. Print a file with more
than one page, Document Viewer collapsed or nothing happen.

I upgarde to HPLIP 3.13.5, now even document viewer collap when we try
to print anything.

Bug description:
Just upgraded to 12.04 from 10.04 a few days ago. Am able to print
test pages, web forms, and Libre Office documents but when I try to
print a .pdf opened with Evince, the document goes into the print
queue and stays there with a status of stopped. The only thing that
I can do at that point is to cancel the document, the only other
options available are reprint which puts it right back in the same
state, and retrieve which saves the file to disk. I can't say with
100% certainty that I was able to print .pdfs from 10.04 but I can't
imagine that I was using that distro for several years without having

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1085320] Re: White borders around *.desktop files on the desktop

2013-05-05 Thread Tora Kuat
Yes, me TOO, I am affected. Ubuntu 13.04 upgraded from 12.10. No problem
when I was with 12.10. Now problem with 13.04, standard Unity Desktop.
Icons on desktop have white rectangular forms. It does not look good.
Hopefully it can be rectified with future updates. Thanks.

Desktop launcher files are drawn on the desktop with a heavy white
border and very thin border in Home Folder.

This only happens with *.desktop files. Links, folders, and files
  display normally.
